How to Install PrestaShop Save and Share Cart
- Firstly, go to the module manager in the back office and click on ‘upload a module’.
- After that, drag and drop the module file or select the file from the system.
- In this way, the module installation will be successful.

Delete customer existing cart on save cart
If a customer has added products into a cart and he saves the cart, then the cart will be deleted if admin has enabled this option.
Delete customer existing cart while creating cart using link
If enabled, then current cart of the customer will delete when the products will be added to his cart via shared cart link. Let me explain this with the help of an example.
Suppose John has shared his cart containing 2 products: shirt and jeans with Peter. Peter has already added shoes to his cart. Now, when John shares his cart with Peter via link, shoes will automatically delete from Peter’s cart and shirt and jeans will add to the cart.

When sharing the cart, the number of products added to the cart by a customer in the cart will also be shared.
Select the options allowed for sharing customer cart
Admin can select various options through which the customers can share the cart. Customers can share their cart on Facebook, Messenger, Twitter, WhatsApp, Linkedin, skype, and messenger. Also, the customer can share the cart link with others.
Allowed customer groups
Select the customer groups whose members can have access to save and share cart options.
Front End Workflow
If allowed by admin from the backoffice, the save and share cart options will be visible to the customers on the shopping cart page.
Save Cart
On clicking the save cart button, a popup appears on the page where a customer can view cart products, enter the cart name, and save it.
Post installation, a new tab “SAVED CARTS” gets available in customer’s account. From this tab, a customer can view saved carts and share them.
Under Saved cart, the customer can view cart url, cart details, and delete the cart.
Click on the ‘eye’ icon to view the cart details.
A customer can add the products of the saved cart into the cart by clicking on “LOAD CART” button. Also, the customer can search a product from the search bar in case he has added multiple products to the cart.

Products added to the cart will be deleted if a customer saves the cart.
Share Cart
On clicking the share cart button on the cart page, a popup appears on the page where a customer can view various options using which he can share the cart.
Customers can share the cart with their friends on social media platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, and Linkedin. Also, the customers can send the cart url on email.

When a customer shares the cart url with another customer, then the existing products in the cart of the customer with whom the cart is shared will automatically delete.
As we can see in the above two screenshots, customers Peter Doe and John Doe have added a few products into the cart.
Now, if Peter Doe shares his cart with John Doe, then the products added to John’s cart will automatically delete.

In the above screenshot, we can see that Peter Doe has added a product along with customization details to the cart.
Now, if Peter shares the cart with another customer say John Doe, then the product along with customization details will add to the John’s cart.

When a customer shares the cart, the quantity of product added by him will be added to the customer’s cart with whom cart is shared.
In the above screenshot, it can be seen that the number of products added by Peter is shared with john.

After the installation of the module, a tab named “Saved carts” get available in the back office. From here, the admin can view a list of carts saved by customers.
