Introduction
The Marketplace Fastway Shipping module allows the customers to choose the Fastway Courier shipping method for their product delivery.
Fastway Shipping module provides Fastway Shipping method for shipping the products to four countries – New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, and South Africa.
The store owners can integrate the shipping method after which even the vendor/seller can manage their shipping and customer orders from the seller panel.
Moreover, print the invoice, enter the tracking ID and complete the shipping management from the seller panel can also be done easily.
Further, the shipping rates are automatically calculated according to the store address, product weight, and delivery zip code. The API fetches the real-time shipping charges and displays them to the customer.
Note:
- This is a marketplace add-on, so you need to install Webkul’s Opencart Multi-Vendor Marketplace first.
- Using Fastway shipping products can be shipped within the Domestic regions only.
- The shipping rates are calculated based on the seller’s Regional franchise, Product weight, and the Zipcode of the domestic buyer.

Installation – Marketplace Fastway Shipping
Upload Files
First, extract the downloaded zip file. After that, open the correct Opencart Version Folder. According to Opencart Version installed in your system.
Then, upload the admin, catalog to the OpenCart root directory.
Once you have uploaded the file then login to admin and go to Extensions>Installer and upload the .zip file- Webkulmarketplacefastwayshipping.ocmod.zip. The zip file can be found in the ocmod folder.
After uploading the zip file go to the Extensions > Modification and click on the refresh field.
Edit User Groups
After that, go to System > Users > Usergroups. And then edit ‘Administrator’. Select the shown checkboxes only for both Access Permission and Modify Permission and Save it.
Install
Now navigate to Extensions > Extensions > Shipping. Find Webkul Fastway Shipping from the list. Click the Install button as visible in the screenshot below.
Further, by clicking on the edit button, the below page will open up.
Retrieve Fastway API Key
In order to use the module the store admin and the seller/vendor both require the Fastway API Key.
Firstly, visit the webpage for the Fastway API Key click the Get API Key as shown in the below image.
As a result, the user will be redirected to the below page. Here, enter all the required details and click Create API Key.
Thereafter, a success message with the required Fastway API Key will appear copy or save for later use in the module configuration.
Note: Using the section Resend API Key in case If you forgot your API key, you can enter the email address you signed up with and fetch the API Key.
Module Configuration Settings
After the successful installation of the extension Marketplace Fastway Shipping for OpenCart. To configure the extension. Firstly, in the sidebar menu go to Extensions > Extensions > Shipping.
Further, click on the edit button next to Webkul Fastway Shipping.
Further, tapping the edit button brings up the module configuration settings page. Here, the admin can see below settings options.
The admin needs to enter the below fields with the required inputs.
Stores: The admin can choose a required store for which the module features needs to be enabled.
Method Name: The admin can enter a custom title for the shipping method which visible over the front end.
API Key: Enter the fetched Fastway API Key over here.
Weight Unit: The admin can choose from the available weight unit Kilogram, Gram, Pound, Ounce that will be applicable for the product measure.
Default Origin Country: The admin needs to select the origin country from the given options for Fastway shipping Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and South Africa.
Default Regional Franchise: Based on the origin country selected the admin is required to select a regional franchise in that country.
Ship to Applicable Countries: The admin can choose to ship to all the present countries. Else can choose only a few from the given.
Ship to Specific Countries: The admin can choose the required countries from the multi-select option if ship to specific countries is enabled.
Enable Services: Here, From the multi-select option Parcel, Satchel & Box choose the required enabled services.
Allow Sellers to Save Details: If the admin enables the following field the seller can save the details entered to configure the Fastway shipping over his/her panel.
Dimensions (L*W*H): The entered dimensions are assumed to be the average packing box size.
Note:
Currently, individual items dimension isn’t supported, therefore it is recommended to enter the average dimensions (for eg: 5*5*5) in centimetres format.
Displayed Error Message: The admin can enter a custom error message that will be visible to the customers in case of shipping not available.
Default Product Weight: If the weight of any product is not set this value is taken. (Enter weight according to weight UNIT)
Display Delivery Weight: Choose Yes, if delivery weight is required to be displayed over the front end at the time of checkout.
Tax Class: The admin can choose the tax class from the drop-down using this field.
Sort: The admin can sort the position of the Fastway shipping method from here.
Debug Mode: If the debug mode is enabled it saves send/receive data to the system log.
Status: The admin can enable/disable the Fastway Shipping method from here.
Fastway Shipping Configuration – Seller End
The vendor/seller can add the inputs for the following fields. Therefore, for this go to the My Account > Fastway Configuration.
API Key: The seller needs to add the Fastway Shipping API Key.
Default Origin Country: The seller needs to enter the default origin country.
Default Regional franchise: Further, based on the origin country selected the seller is required to select a regional franchise in that country.
Shipping Setting – Seller End
The vendor/seller needs to enter some basic information about the shipping settings. Therefore, for this go to the My Account > Shipping Settings.
The seller can set the Default Origin Country, State/Province City and Zip/Postal Code from where the calculation of the shipment of the product will take place.
Moreover, the seller mentions the Company name and Address, this becomes the origin address of the shipment.
Delivery Method – Fastway Shipping – Customer End
Right after, adding a product into the cart at the time of checkout the customer can choose the Fastway Shipping method as shown below.
Further, once the order is placed the customer can go to the order history section.
Click the Order History section to view the order information and the shipping method used.
Further, the admin can go to the Sales > Orders and click the Print Invoice button as shown below.
As a result, an invoice will be generated as shown below with a visible method of shipping service used.
