    Opencart Marketplace Buyer Seller Communication

    Opencart Marketplace Buyer Seller Communication module allows the buyers and sellers to communicate with each other and keep a record of their communication. In this module, a buyer can send the message to seller with an attachment and in the same way, sellers can make a reply to the buyer.

    Also, the admin has the complete record of the seller-buyer communication and admin can reply to the same communication.

    Since it’s an add-on for the Marketplace Module, so marketplace module must be installed before installing the Opencart Marketplace Buyer Seller Communication.

    Installation Of Opencart Marketplace Buyer Seller Communication

    Installation of Opencart Marketplace Buyer Seller Communication module is very easy. In the zip file, you will find 4 folders admin, catalog, system/library and ocmod folders. You just need to move admin,  system/library and catalog folder into the root directory of your opencart website.


    Once you have uploaded the file then login to admin and from catalog section go to Extensions> Extension installer and upload the XML file. The XML file can be found in ocmod folder under module directory. In ocmod folder select the folder according to your opencart version. After that upload wk_seller_buyer_communication.ocmod.xml file.


    After uploading the XML file go to the Extensions > Modification and click on refresh field.


    Also, after that in Admin panel go to System -> Users -> Usergroup and edit ‘Administrator’ and select all for both Access and Modify Permission and save it.


    After that under Extension > Module, install the Buyer-Seller Communication module Module like this way.


    Module Translation

    Configuration of Marketplace Buyer Seller Communication

    After clicking on the edit button admin can enable the module and configure the module with the option provided in the below image.


    Status: It will enable or disable status of the module.

    Attachment file type: Here admin can enter the extension of the file which they want to allow with a message.

    File Size: Also, the admin enters the maximum file size allowed for the attachment in Kb.

    Maximum attachment file: Here admin can enter the maximum number of allowed attachments per message.

    BCC email: Also, the admin will enter the email which he wants to show conversation.

    Restrict Mail With Keyword:  Here admin can enter any keywords separated by a comma. The message containing the keywords will be received by seller and buyer but it will not get saved under ‘communication history’.

    Search keyword in: Now, select the field where admin wants to search the restricted keyword.

    Note:- In Opencart you need to first set SMTP detail so that the email functionality can work. For this from the admin section go to System->settings click on the edit store option. Now select the Mail tab and enter the SMTP details.


    How Buyer Can Contact Seller

    After enabling the module buyer can contact the seller by going to the seller’s page.


    Once the buyer sends a message, the seller/buyer will get the notification via email as shown below:


    Also, after sending the message buyer can check the sent message from the account section. Buyer can go to Account->Communication History. From here buyer can check and reply to the messages.


    How Seller Can Check And Reply Message

    A seller can check and reply to the messages in the same way as it is done by the buyer from the account section. The seller can go to Account->Communication History. From here seller can check all the received and sent messages, also reply to the buyer.


    Also, after clicking on view, the complete thread will get open and the seller can check the message and reply to the customer.

    The customer will be notified via email when the seller submits a reply from their panel as shown below:


    From communication history, buyer and seller can search the messages using the keywords in the subject line. To search the message you just need to type keyword in search box and press enter.


    Buyers and sellers can delete their messages, they just need to select the message and click on the delete button. The deleted messages will be shown under the Trash tab.


    Admin Communication Options

    Admin can see all the messages and threads between buyer and seller. After the module is installed admin can see the ‘Communication’ option on the catalog menu. Also, after clicking on catalog admin can see all threads between buyer and seller.


    After clicking on view button admin can see all the messages in the thread. Also, admin can reply to the buyer or seller from their end.
