Initial Challenges

The client initially wanted three types of solutions for their different problems. These problems were:

1. To begin with, they required three new filters on the website (Novelty, Sale, and Best Seller). Under novelty, they wanted to show newly added products. The sale will filter out products having the label ‘Sale.’ The bestseller filter will show the best-selling product in the category. However, this filter needs to be enabled from the product page.

2. They wanted to add X_Altron numbers in the alternative, accessory, and optional products fields while adding a product. It will allow searching the products in these fields via the X_Altron number. Also, they wanted the same filtration on the mobile view as well.

3. Lastly, they wanted to get a search bar customized and add ease to searching products by product name, internal reference, barcode, x_hersteller_Nr, x_Hersteller, and x_Kategorie_4. And all this should be desktop and mobile friendly.

As the client expressed a detailed list so we were very clear about what to deliver them. Soon after their approval, we created a Sandbox and began working on the customizations. During the process, we faced some bugs, which we solved after testing. And if any other bug rose, we fixed them as well. Once everything was ready, we gave the client a demo to check everything is order. After their approval, we deployed the code/ customization on their live instance.
