Let’s understand this with an example;
You want to identify your customer on the basis of their (Let’s say) age or profession. So that you can accordingly provide certain benefits to them. But, then you remember that customers are categorised into the following three groups only.
- Customer
- Visitor
- Guest
To avoid such a case, you can now create multiple groups as per your convenience. And, allow your customers to select one of the groups at the time of registration. - Allow new users of the shop to choose their customer group.
- Select the groups to show on the customer registration page.
- View the list of customers registered in the particular group.
- Offer benefits to the customers on the basis of their groups.
- Choose to restrict some sections of shop for certain customer group.
- Allow customers to update their group from the ‘My Account’ section.
How to install the module
- Go to Module Manager in Back office and click on ‘upload a module’.
- Now, Drag and drop the module file or select the file from the system.
- In this way, the module installation will be successful.
How to configure the Prestashop Multi-User Customer Account
There is only one option in the configuration of the module.
Select the user groups to show them at the customer registration page. In case, if you want to hide some of the user groups. You can simply deselect those options from the registration page.
In this way, the configuration of the module will be successful.

On the customer registration page, customer can select the group in which they want to register themself.
Customer group detail at admin end
The details of the group selected by the customer are available on the admin’s end too.
View list of all the customers registered in the group. Additionally, you can also view the benefits of the group.
