Merchant Story: Bay Supply
Bay Supply is a USA-based B2B industrial marketplace connecting sourcing professionals, manufacturers, and vendors.
The platform offers blind rivets, lock bolts, threaded inserts, and other fastening products from authorized suppliers.
Over time, the brand has become a reliable destination for businesses to source industrial fasteners and hardware efficiently.
The brand aimed to support multiple vendors, streamline store management, and enhance the platform experience to meet growing buyer demand.
To achieve this, the company partnered with Webkul and used Magento Development Services to build a scalable and organized online marketplace.
Bay Supply’s Challenge: Lack of a Centralized Marketplace to Streamline Fastener Product Sales
Bay Supply faced challenges managing its expanding distributor network, slowing sourcing and order processing across the U.S.
Distributors had to manage product listings, inventory, and orders manually, making procurement workflows time-consuming and complex.
Without a centralized marketplace, onboarding new distributors, managing product listings, and tracking orders was slow and fragmented.
These issues made it difficult for distributors to have proper visibility and for buyers to have a seamless sourcing experience.
To solve this, they partnered with Webkul to set up a structured multi-vendor system on its Magento 2 store.
This case study explains how these challenges were addressed through a scalable eCommerce marketplace solution built for Magento.
How Webkul Helped Bay Supply Build a Multi-Vendor Marketplace on Magento 2
Adobe Commerce Marketplace Extension provided Bay Supply with a robust solution to manage vendors and streamline its B2B platform.
The module provides onboarded distributors with dedicated vendor dashboards to showcase their stores and product details effortlessly.
Through these panels, distributors can register, list products, manage inventory, process orders, handle deliveries, and update profiles seamlessly.
To join as a vendor, users can visit Bay Supply’s marketplace page, click on the “Open a Marketplace Shop” button, and submit their details.
After creating a customer account, sellers can apply to join the marketplace by choosing “Become a Seller” and creating a custom store URL.
Applications are forwarded to the Bay Supply admin team, where they can be approved automatically or reviewed manually for added control.
Once accepted, sellers access marketplace tools, and their products become available to buyers across the U.S.
Through an easy-to-use vendor dashboard, distributors can list products, monitor orders, manage deliveries, and keep inventory updated.
Results of Launching Bay Supply’s Online Industrial Marketplace with Magento 2
With the Magento 2 Multi-Vendor Marketplace, Bay Supply brought multiple distributors onto one unified B2B platform.
Vendors can manage products and orders from their own dashboards, while the admin oversees approvals, pricing rules, and payouts.
Buyers can browse industrial products from different distributors and place a single order through a streamlined checkout process.
These Magento 2 extensions reduce manual work for platform administrators and help Bay Supply scale its distributor network efficiently.
