The admin can assign various categories globally(for all the vendors) and per vendor(for each of the Vendors). The selected categories for global or per vendor category assignment will be shown at the category tree view as per selection made by the admin for each type.<\/p>\n<div class=\"panel panel-primary\">\n<div class=\"panel-heading\">\n<div>\n<h3 class=\"panel-title\">Magento 2 Marketplace &#8211; Vendor Category Management<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"panel-body\">\n<div>\n<div class=\"alert alert-success\">\n<div>Vendor Category Tree View<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The admin can navigate to <strong>Stores&gt;<\/strong>Configuration<strong>&gt;<\/strong>Webkul<strong>&gt;<\/strong>Marketplace<strong>&gt;<\/strong>Seller Product&#8217;s Settings<strong>&gt;<\/strong>Allow Category tree view like admin product category tree.\u00a0Here, the admin will set the option &#8220;<strong>Allow Category tree view like admin product category tree<\/strong>&#8221; as &#8220;<strong>Yes<\/strong>&#8221; to allow the vendors to have the same category tree view as of the admin&#8217;s category tree view.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Allow-Tree-View.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Allow-Tree-View.png\" alt=\"Tree View Config Setting Magento 2 Marketplace Vendor Category Management\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>The admin&#8217;s category tree view &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>This is the category tree view at the admin&#8217;s add\/edit product page.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Admin-Product-Add-Edit-Page-Tree-View.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Admin-Product-Add-Edit-Page-Tree-View.png\" alt=\"Admin Tree View at Add Edit product Page\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If this option\u00a0&#8220;<strong>Allow Category tree view like admin product category tree<\/strong>&#8221; is set as &#8220;<strong>No<\/strong>&#8220;, then the vendors will have the default category view at their <strong>add\/edit product page<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Default-Category-View.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Default-Category-View.png\" alt=\"Magento 2 Marketplace Vendor Category Management\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now, after the <strong>setting<\/strong> has been <strong>enabled<\/strong> the vendors will have the same category tree view at their <strong>add\/edit product<\/strong> page as shown below in the snapshot.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Seller-Addedit-Page.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Seller-Addedit-Page.png\" alt=\"Seller Add Edit Page Magento 2 Marketplace\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Global Category<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Assignment\u00a0<\/strong>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>To set the category Id&#8217;s the admin will navigate to <strong>Stores<\/strong>&gt;<strong>Configuration<\/strong>&gt;<strong>Webkul<\/strong>&gt;<strong>Marketplace<\/strong>&gt;<strong>Seller Product&#8217;s Settings<\/strong>&gt;<strong>Allowed Categories for seller\u00a0<\/strong><strong>to add products<\/strong>. After the admin has entered the <strong>category Id&#8217;s<\/strong> separated by a comma, now these referenced categories(whose Id has been entered by the admin) will be available to all the vendors of the marketplace.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Global-Categories-For-All.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Global-Categories-For-All.png\" alt=\"Global Categories For All Magento 2 Marketplace Vendor Category Management\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After assigning the global categories the vendors can find the<strong> categories<\/strong> with the<strong> tree view<\/strong> at their <strong>add\/edit product<\/strong>\u00a0page and can add the products into these allowed categories only.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Main-Image.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Main-Image.png\" alt=\"Main Image global Catagory\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Per Vendor Category Assignment<\/strong> &#8211;<\/p>\n<p>To assign the per vendor category the admin will navigate to <strong>Customers<\/strong>&gt;<strong>All Customers<\/strong>.\u00a0Here, select the vendor for whom you want to assign the categories\u00a0and then tap the <strong>edit<\/strong> link as shown below in the snapshot.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/All-Customers.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/All-Customers.png\" alt=\"All-Customers\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now, under the <strong>customer information<\/strong> section go to the <strong>Assign Category<\/strong> menu option. Select the categories\u00a0or sub-categories that you want to allow for this <strong>Vendor 1<\/strong>.
