INTRODUCTION<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Cash management belongs to the day-to-day control of managing cash inflows and outflows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it comes to <\/em>a financial establishment, cash management becomes very crucial in the business.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, while working in POS, cash management is required a lot as the cashier performs the activities related to cash. So, there should be a tool for controlling or managing it in a productive way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Therefore, we have come up with the \u2018Odoo POS Cash Drawer Alert\u2019 <\/strong>module. That facilitates the POS user to set a threshold limit on the maximum amount of cash that the POS Cash Drawer should contain. Moreover, the module also provides an alert feature that cautions the POS user when the threshold limit is reached.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This will work as a reminder if a user needs to build his contingency reserves for possible events on a regular basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FEATURES<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

1. The Odoo POS cash drawer alert module allows the POS user to set the threshold limit for the cash drawer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Helps the POS user to manage cost-efficiently in the POS cash drawer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. The cashier gets a pop-up when reaches on the threshold limit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. It works as a reminder for the POS user.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. The cashier can set the \u201cCash Withdraw\u201d limit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

INSTALLATION<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

1.) Once you purchase the Odoo POS Cash Drawer Alert module From Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.) Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- \u201cpos_cash_alert\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.) Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4.) Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

5.) Then, open the Apps menu and click on the \u2018Update Modules List\u2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

6.) In the search bar, remove all the filters and search \u201cpos_cash_alert\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

7.) Now you will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on \u2018Install\u2019<\/strong> to install it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WORKFLOW CONFIGURATION<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Odoo Back-end Configuration<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

1. Initially, login to the Odoo database and then navigate to the Point Of Sale app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Now, click on the ellipsis and go to the settings of any POS session that you want to configure for the cash threshold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Then<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

3. Here, scroll down to the \u2018Payments\u2019 <\/strong>section. Now, set the \u2018Cash Threshold\u2019 <\/strong>so that whenever the cash drawer amount will be greater than the cash threshold amount. You can see an alert regarding the money taken out (Withdraw cash) in POS session. Also, ‘Set Maximum Difference’<\/strong> amount in the POS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Moving on, start the POS session that you have configured for cash threshold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Now, click on the \u2018Open Session\u2019 <\/strong>to start the POS session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. When the cashier reaches the threshold limit of the POS cash drawer, then instantly, this pop-up will arise. Here, the cashier can immediately take the money out from the cash drawer by clicking on the \u2018Take money out’ <\/strong>button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. Now, enter the required amount to take out from the cash drawer. Additionally, the cashier needs to mention the reason for taking money out. Then click on \u2018Proceed\u2019 and the amount will be taken out successfully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
