INTRODUCTION<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Security unquestionably plays a crucial role in any business. Odoo POS Extra Utilities module facilitates you to add restrictions over several options in Odoo POS. i.e. You as an admin have the authority to restrict the options in POS like Price modification, selecting customers before validating the order etc. Hence, the cashier cannot make changes on his\/her own if you as an admin has restricted it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now you have the authority to shape your Odoo POS according to you.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The module lets you configure your default POS settings from the back-end for restricting features during the running session for the security purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FEATURES<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
  1. Odoo POS Extra Utilities restricts the users to view their default POS only.<\/li>
  2. A user can not validate the order until any customer is selected.<\/li>
  3. By disabling the price modification, User can not change the existing price of the product.<\/li>
  4. On the other hand, admin can allow the user to increase the price of products only when the new price is more than the current price.<\/li>
  5. You can also restrict discount option in the POS running session.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    INSTALLATION<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    1.) Once you purchase the App from Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.
    2.) Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- \u2018pos_extra_utilities\u2019<\/strong>.
    3.) Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
    4.) Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.
    5.) Then, open on Apps menu and click on \u2018Update Modules List\u2019<\/strong>.
    6.) In the search bar, remove all the filters and search \u2018pos_extra_utilities\u2019.<\/strong>
    7.) You will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on \u2018Install\u2019<\/strong> to install it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    WORKFLOW<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Back-end view<\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    (1). Login to your Odoo database and then navigate to the Odoo POS Module<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    2). Now, click on the ellipsis of any POS Shop Block and click on the ‘Settings’<\/strong> menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    (3). Scroll down in the settings to the POS Extra Utilities section; From here, you can enable or disable any feature according to your requirement as given below to restrict in POS running session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Make selecting customer mandatory for validating the orders.
    2. Disable discounts so that the cashier cannot offer a discount on his\/her own.
    3. The price modification can be disabled in POS for the cashier.
    4. Disable the delete button so that cashier cannot delete quantity and price
    5. Allow the cashier to only increase the price of the product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    (4) Enable ‘make customer mandatory’; An error occurs while validating the order without customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    (5). Enable ‘Disable price modification’<\/strong>; the cashier will not be able to modify the price of the products in Odoo POS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    (6). \u201cDisable discounts\u201d<\/strong> The cashier can not provide any discounts in running POS session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    (7). ‘Allow only increase in price<\/strong>‘; the cashier can only make increment in the existing price of the product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Note<\/strong>: The new price should be greater than current price of product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    (8). ‘Disable delete’<\/strong>; this feature will disable the delete button for price and discount modification only; quantity modification would work as default.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
