Now, here is the bidding scenario:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>A<\/strong> <strong>Bidder<\/strong> makes a bid for <strong>30 units <\/strong>for <strong>$4 each<\/strong>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>B<\/strong> <strong>Bidder<\/strong> makes a bid for <strong>20 units<\/strong> for<strong> $6 each<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>C Bidder<\/strong> makes a bid for<strong> 20 units<\/strong> for<strong> $4 each<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>D Bidder<\/strong> makes a bid for <strong>10 units<\/strong> for <strong>$5 each<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, to sell all the units (50), the priority list of winners will be decided on the basis of who bids the highest price:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>So, the first <strong>20 units<\/strong> will go to<strong> B<\/strong> as he is the highest bidder (<strong>$6<\/strong>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Now, the left units are 30. So, the next <strong>10 units <\/strong>will go to <strong>D<\/strong> since he is the second-highest bidder. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A<\/strong> &amp;<strong> C<\/strong> bids the same price but since the number of units left= 20, it will go to <strong>C<\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Moving on, let&#8217;s see how you can configure this feature within the app!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Configuration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Visit the <strong>Product Auction App<\/strong> from the Shopify app section &gt; Click on <strong>Configuration<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Auction Configuration<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1198\" height=\"546\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/screenshot-cdnblog.webkul.com-2022.09.12-12_36_15.png\" alt=\"screenshot-cdnblog.webkul.com-2022.09.12-12_36_15\" class=\"wp-image-351995\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/screenshot-cdnblog.webkul.com-2022.09.12-12_36_15.png 1198w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/screenshot-cdnblog.webkul.com-2022.09.12-12_36_15-300x137.png 300w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/screenshot-cdnblog.webkul.com-2022.09.12-12_36_15-250x114.png 250w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/screenshot-cdnblog.webkul.com-2022.09.12-12_36_15-768x350.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1198px) 100vw, 1198px\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Scroll down a bit to get the following option: <strong>Allow Bid For Multiple Unit<\/strong>.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you enable this option, you&#8217;ll be able to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">allow your bidders to bid on multiple units of the auctioned product<\/span>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, as soon as you enable this feature, you&#8217;ll get another option below this one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This option will let you<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> allow your bidders to bid less than the current bid&nbsp;amount<\/span>. <br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Example:<\/strong> A bidder places a bid of $30. Now, usually, the next bidder is allowed to bid more than the current bid amount, i.e., $30 in this case (as per the increment rule set). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But, if you enable this feature, the next bidder will be able to bid for an amount lesser than the current bid amount ($30 in this case).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once done with the configuration <strong>save<\/strong> the settings!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. Sealed Bidding<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>With Sealed Bidding enabled, bidders can place their offers without knowing the <em>absolute<\/em> highest bid amount in the traditional sense. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Instead, the visible \u201chighest bid\u201d is displayed based on the <strong>quantity<\/strong> bid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"672\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/stttttt1-1200x672.webp\" alt=\"sttt\" class=\"wp-image-503677\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/stttttt1-1200x672.webp 1200w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/stttttt1-300x168.webp 300w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/stttttt1-250x140.webp 250w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/stttttt1-768x430.webp 768w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/stttttt1-1536x860.webp 1536w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/stttttt1-2048x1146.webp 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, if one bidder places a bid of <strong>$60 for 3 units<\/strong>, another bidder can still place a lower bid\u2014say <strong>$40 for 2 units<\/strong>\u2014and still win, provided the bid is above the reserve price. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is because Sealed Bidding <strong>does not follow the increment rule<\/strong>\u2014all qualifying bids above the reserve price are counted, regardless of whether they\u2019re lower in value or quantity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This ensures a more flexible and confidential bidding environment where multiple bidders can win based on their chosen quantity and price combination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2.
