As a result, these charges directly impact overall profitability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To address this, we have introduced a feature in the app that allows these charges to be added to the product price during product creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, let\u2019s understand the complete workflow in detail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wk-index-wrap\"><h3 class=\"index-title\">The workflow of the Multivendor Marketplace: Handling &amp; Transaction Charges<\/h3><\/div><div class=\"margin-bottom-50\">\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Before using this feature, make sure that the Sales Price option is enabled from the Product Configuration settings. As a result, the final price increases accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, this charge is applied per quantity. Therefore, if a customer purchases multiple units of the same product, the handling charge will be multiplied based on the ordered quantity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Example:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Product Price = $100<br>Handling Charge = $10<br>Orderd Quantity = 3<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Final calculation:<\/strong><br>($100 + $10) \u00d7 3 = $330<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wk-index-wrap\"><div class=\"block-wrap\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading index-title\">2. Transaction Charges<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Transaction charges represent the payment processing fee applied to marketplace orders. In other words, this fee reflects the cost associated with processing payments through a gateway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Therefore, the configured transaction charge will be added to the product\u2019s base price, depending on the selected settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 1: Enable Transaction Charge<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before configuring the transaction settings, you must first enable the transaction charge option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To do so, follow the steps below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, save the changes to activate the feature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First, go to <strong>Configuration<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then, open <strong>Product Configuration<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After that, enable the <strong>\u201cTransaction Charge\u201d<\/strong> option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"628\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/txnchg-1200x628.webp\" alt=\"txnchg\" class=\"wp-image-528516\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/txnchg-1200x628.webp 1200w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/txnchg-300x157.webp 300w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/txnchg-250x131.webp 250w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/txnchg-768x402.webp 768w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/txnchg-1536x803.webp 1536w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/txnchg.webp 1832w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 2: Configure Transaction Charge Settings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&gt; <strong>Transaction Charges to be Paid By<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under this setting, you can choose how the transaction fee should be determined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Normal<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you select <strong>Normal<\/strong>, the transaction charge will be calculated based on the percentage and\/or fixed values entered manually in the configuration. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In other words, the admin has full control over defining the charge structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stripe Fees<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other hand, if you select <strong>Stripe Fees<\/strong>, the system will follow Stripe\u2019s default payment processing structure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Therefore, the transaction charge will be calculated according to Stripe\u2019s predefined fee model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&gt; <strong>Transaction Charge Bear By<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This setting determines who will bear the transaction fee applied to the order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Option: Admin<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>If the <strong>Admin<\/strong> option is selected, the marketplace owner will bear the transaction charges instead of the seller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, consider the following scenario:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Order Total = $1000<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transaction Charge = 10%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In this case, 10% of $1000 equals $100. Therefore, the seller will receive the full $1000 amount (minus commission, if applicable). However, the admin will absorb the $100 transaction cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Use Case:<\/strong><br>This option is suitable when the marketplace wants to encourage sellers by internally covering the payment gateway fees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Option: Seller<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other hand, if the <strong>Seller<\/strong> option is selected, the transaction charge will be deducted directly from the seller\u2019s payout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Using the same example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Order Total = $1000<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transaction Charge = 10%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Here, 10% of $1000 equals $100. As a result, $100 will be deducted from the seller\u2019s payout. Consequently, the seller will receive $900 (before commission or other deductions, if applicable).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Use Case:<\/strong><br>This option is ideal when the marketplace intends to pass the payment processing cost to the sellers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&gt; <strong>Transaction Charge Type<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This determines how the charge is calculated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udd39 <strong>Product Wise<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The charge is calculated individually for each product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scenario:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Product A = $500<br>Product B = $500<br>Transaction = 10%<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Product A charge = $50<br>Product B charge = $50<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Total transaction charge = $100<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Use Case:<\/strong> When each product\u2019s value should affect the transaction fee independently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udd39<strong> Order Wise<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The charge is calculated once on the total order amount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scenario:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Order Total = $1000<br>Transaction = 10%<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Total charge = $100<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Use Case:<\/strong> When transaction fee should apply once per order instead of per product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&gt;
