And, quite often you (i.e. merchant) generally bear the charge.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To avoid paying those charges, you can simply add them as extra fees in the payment methods. So that if a customer uses that payment method, then he or she has to pay the additional amount.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alternatively, you can also offer discounts to the customer on the use of specific payment methods. In this way, you can also promote the use of some payment methods.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can create a payment fee to charge extra fees or to offer a discount. he\/she selects the particular payment gateway.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Total order amount will change as per the payment fee and will be visible to buyer on the order confirmation So let me just explain what are those.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Calculated fee based on:<\/strong> This option provides to choose the method of fee calculation. There are the following three options to choose from.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Only products:<\/strong> In this case, fee will be calculated only on the product price.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Final cart total: <\/strong>Fees will be calculated on the cart total, in this case.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Product + shipping:<\/strong> This case will calculate fee on the product plus shipping price.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Only shipping:<\/strong> In this last case, fee will be calculated only on the shipping price.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tax behaviour for fee:<\/strong> Here, you can choose whether you want to calculate fees by including the tax on the order or by excluding the tax.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Display payment fee at last position in invoices: <\/strong>Enable this option if admin wants to display the payment fee at the last position on the invoice.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wk-index-wrap\"><div class=\"block-wrap\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading index-title\">Workflow of the PrestaShop Payment Extra Fee\/Discount module<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>After the successful installation of the module, you can now proceed to create payment fees conditions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Create payment fees conditions to charge extra fees or offer discounts on payment gateways.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Click on the &#8220;Add New&#8221; button to create a new payment fee condition.
