{"id":560179,"date":"2026-10-07T13:59:46","date_gmt":"2026-10-07T13:59:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/webkul.com\/blog\/?p=560179"},"modified":"2026-10-07T14:02:12","modified_gmt":"2026-10-07T14:02:12","slug":"user-guide-of-prestashop-buy-one-get-one","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webkul.com\/blog\/user-guide-of-prestashop-buy-one-get-one\/","title":{"rendered":"User Guide of PrestaShop Buy One Get One"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>This <strong>PrestaShop Buy One Get One<\/strong> module lets you run &#8220;buy this, get that&#8221; offers: free products, discounts, free shipping, and mix-and-match deals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It works out who qualifies, adds the reward to the basket by itself, and shows the offer to customers on the shop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How offer builts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Every offer is three pieces, created in this order:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td><strong>Step<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Screen<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Answers<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>1<\/td><td><strong>Strategies<\/strong><\/td><td>What kind of offer is it, when does it run, who is it for?<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>2<\/td><td><strong>Rules<\/strong><\/td><td>What must be in the basket for it to apply?<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>3<\/td><td><strong>Rewards<\/strong><\/td><td>What does the customer get?<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A strategy on its own does nothing. It needs at least one rule and one reward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two ways to build one:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Setup Wizard<\/strong> \u2014 one guided flow that asks all three in order and saves them together. Use this to create an offer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Strategies \/ Rules \/ Rewards<\/strong> \u2014 the three screens below. You cannot skip ahead past something unanswered \u2014 the wizard says what is missing and keeps you on that step.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td><strong>Step<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>What it asks<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Kind<\/strong><\/td><td>The promotion type, as four cards with an example each. Then the name customers will see, the dates, the status, the quantities, priority, usage limits, and who can use it.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Who qualifies<\/strong><\/td><td>The rule. Only the rule types that make sense for the type you chose are offered. For Mix match, the condition builder appears instead.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Reward<\/strong><\/td><td>What they get, as cards. Only the fields that reward type needs are shown \u2014 no gift product box on a percentage discount.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Review<\/strong><\/td><td>The whole offer in one sentence, plus every field in a table with an Edit link per step.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Save and close<\/strong> writes the strategy, the rule and the reward in one go. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If any of them is rejected, nothing is saved \u2014 you will not be left with a half-built offer \u2014 and the wizard reopens at the step that needs fixing with everything you typed still there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The wizard saves exactly what the three screens save. Off: every reward waits for the customer to claim it.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Rewards for signed in customers only<\/strong><\/td><td>On: guest baskets get no BOGO rewards, and any already held are cleared. Off (the default): guests are rewarded like anyone else.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Show BOGO badge on listings<\/strong><\/td><td>Shows a small label on product thumbnails that are part of an offer.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Badge text<\/strong><\/td><td>The wording on that label, per language. &#8220;PROMO&#8221; by default.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Show countdown timer<\/strong><\/td><td>Shows how long an offer still has to run on the product page. Per language.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Trigger quantity<\/strong><\/td><td>How many items the customer must buy.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Reward quantity<\/strong><\/td><td>How many items they get.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Priority<\/strong><\/td><td>Used when offers compete and stacking is restricted. <strong>A lower number wins.<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Status<\/strong><\/td><td>Off means the offer is not running, whatever the dates say.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Start date \/ End date<\/strong><\/td><td>The window the offer runs in. Outside it the offer is ignored completely \u2014 no reward, no badge.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Max usage<\/strong><\/td><td>How many times the offer can be used across the whole shop.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Per customer limit<\/strong><\/td><td>How many times one customer can use it.
