PrestaShop AI Reporting lets you ask questions about your shop in plain English and get the answer back as a table or a chart. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This guide covers connecting an AI provider, choosing which data the AI can query, and running, saving and revisiting reports from the Back Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Note:<\/strong> The module needs either an API key from one of six LLM providers or a Webkul preconfigured endpoint and token to answer questions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Orders, Products and Customers are served from flat tables that you build once from the configuration screen before they return data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to install PrestaShop AI Reporting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n
In the Back Office go to Modules \u203a Module Manager<\/strong> and click Upload a module<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Drag the module ZIP into the drop area, or select it from your computer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Wait for the installer to finish. AI Reporting then appears in the Module Manager list, in the Administration category.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
The install adds an\u00a0AI Reporting<\/strong>\u00a0section to the Back Office main menu, with an AI Reporting<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Manager\u00a0submenu holding\u00a0<\/strong>Search AI Report Manager\u00a0and\u00a0<\/strong>Saved AI Report Manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Module Configuration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Open Modules \u203a Module Manager<\/strong>, find AI Reporting, and click Configure<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The configuration page has six tabs down the left side: General, Reporting entities, Order attributes, Product attributes, Customer attributes and Other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
General<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
\n
Enable module<\/strong> \u2014 turns the module on or off. Defaults to Yes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
AI model type<\/strong> \u2014 Preconfigured (the Webkul-hosted gateway) or LLM Provider (your own key). Required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Reporting endpoint<\/strong> and Token key<\/strong> \u2014 shown only when AI model type is Preconfigured; the gateway URL and the token issued for it. Both required in that mode.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
LLM provider<\/strong> \u2014 one of OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic, OpenRouter, Cerebras or DeepSeek. Defaults to OpenAI. Shown only when AI model type is LLM Provider.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
API key<\/strong> \u2014 the key for the selected provider. Clearing this field keeps the saved key rather than removing it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
AI model<\/strong> \u2014 the model to call for that provider. Use Validate Provider<\/strong> to confirm the key and model work before saving.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Max tokens<\/strong> \u2014 the reply size limit sent to the provider. Defaults to 1024.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Reporting entities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Check which of the nine entities the AI is allowed to query \u2014 at least one is required. Orders, Products and Customers default to checked. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Product Reviews and Wishlist appear only when the productcomments or blockwishlist modules are installed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Order, Product and Customer attributes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Each of these three tabs lists the optional columns available for that entity’s flat table \u2014 for example, order status label, payment method, or discount amount for Orders. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Every optional column is checked by default on a fresh install.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Unchecking a column removes it from that flat table on the next rebuild; a yellow notice appears on these tabs and on Other configuration whenever a saved selection no longer matches the built tables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Other<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
\n
Language<\/strong> \u2014 which *_lang<\/code> rows populate the flat report tables. Defaults to the shop’s default language.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Shop<\/strong> \u2014 the multistore scope for the flat tables. Shown only when multistore is active; hidden entirely on a single-shop install.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Row limit<\/strong> \u2014 the maximum rows returned per query, between 1 and 5000. Defaults to 500.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Default chart<\/strong> \u2014 Table, Line chart, Pie chart, Bar chart or Area chart. Defaults to Table.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Show generated SQL<\/strong> \u2014 shows the SQL view button on the Search page. Defaults to Yes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Retry on SQL error<\/strong> \u2014 Do not retry or Retry once. Defaults to Retry once.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Readable column headings<\/strong> \u2014 shows result columns as “Product name” instead of the raw product_name<\/code>. Headings only; saved reports keep working either way. Defaults to Yes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Build status<\/strong> \u2014 one row per flat entity with its last build time, row count, status and a Rebuild now<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Cron URL<\/strong> \u2014 a tokenised URL you can call from a system cron job to rebuild the flat tables unattended, instead of clicking Rebuild now by hand.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
AI provider setup<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
If you are using your own provider instead of the Webkul preconfigured endpoint:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Open the console for your chosen provider (OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic, OpenRouter, Cerebras or DeepSeek) and create an API key there.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
On the General<\/strong> configuration tab, set AI model type<\/strong> to LLM Provider and pick that provider from the LLM provider<\/strong> list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Paste the key into API key<\/strong>, choose a model under AI model<\/strong>, and click Validate Provider<\/strong>. A failed validation means the key, model or account access is wrong \u2014 fix it on the provider’s side before saving.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Click Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
Before the Search page can answer questions about Orders, Products or Customers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Go to the Other<\/strong> tab and click Rebuild now<\/strong> next to each of those entities at least once \u2014 a report run against an unbuilt flat table returns no rows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Using the module<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Search AI Report Manager<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Go to AI Reporting \u203a AI Reporting Manager \u203a Search AI Report Manager<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Type a question in plain English \u2014 the placeholder suggests “show me today’s orders” or “top 5 products by revenue this month” \u2014 and click Magic search<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
The result appears as a table by default. Use the row of icons above it to switch to a line, pie, bar or area chart, or to the <\/><\/code> view to read the generated SQL. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
On a chart view, set **Chart Label, <\/strong>X Axis and <\/strong>Y Axis**, then use the download icon to save the table as CSV or the chart as a PNG image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
The same result on each chart view:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
The <\/><\/code> view shows the SQL the AI generated for the question, with a Copy<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
To keep a report, type a name into Chart Label<\/strong> and click the save icon. A confirmation banner appears once the report is stored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Saved AI Report Manager<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Go to AI Reporting \u203a AI Reporting Manager \u203a Saved AI Report Manager<\/strong> to see every report you have saved, with its label, original question, chart type and creation date. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Use View<\/strong> on a row to open it, or the dropdown next to it to delete it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Click Dashboard<\/strong> in the top right to switch to card view, where every saved report re-runs and redraws automatically. Reorder cards with the up and down arrows, or remove one with the trash icon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
