Today we will learn how to design and use sub-template in handlebar.js You can also follow the related blog for learn the basis of templating Link <\/a><\/p>\n

Firstly, We have to include the handlebar.js library in your file. like:<\/p>\n

Sub-templating means a main template contains another template, In the below screenshot, In which we used main-temp<\/strong> id for outer template and inside main template we used a\u00a0reference variable named\u00a0subTemplate.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And we design sub-template named as id=”sub-temp”<\/strong> separately inside the class<\/strong> container. <\/strong>Now we will create script for both the html design.<\/p>\n

At the top we include the handlebar.js after that create an object array for sub template named as row. <\/strong>Now get the first template html and complied the html using Handlebars.compile(main_temp). <\/strong><\/p>\n

After this we will map the sub template inside the main template, firstly\u00a0 get the sub template html as we got in above screenshot:<\/p>\n

var sub_demo = $(“#sub-temp”).html();<\/strong><\/p>\n

Map the sub-template with reference variable inside the main template like:<\/p>\n

Handlebars.registerPartial(“subTemplate”, sub_demo);<\/strong><\/p>\n

OR<\/strong><\/p>\n

can be directly as:<\/p>\n

Handlebars.registerPartial(“subTemplate”, $(“#sub-temp”).html());<\/strong><\/p>\n

Now replace the object data with the define handlebar variable like:<\/p>\n

var html = template(heading);<\/strong><\/p>\n

And append the whole html to container class <\/strong>like:<\/p>\n

$(‘.container’).append(html);<\/strong><\/p>\n

When you will run this html file out put will look like below screenshot:<\/p>\n
