Odoo PayPal Payment Manual Capture<\/a><\/strong> helps you manage PayPal Payments with full control. It creates an Authorized Payment first, so customers are not charged instantly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This gives admins time to review each Payment Transaction from the Backend. It makes Secure Payment handling easy and safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this flow, you can capture or cancel payments only when the order is ready. This reduces fraud, mistakes, and refund issues.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Installation<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    1. Once you purchase the App from Webkul store, you will receive a link to download module’s zip<\/strong> file<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Extract the file on your system after download finishes. As a result, you will be able to see a folder named- \u2018payment_paypal_manual_capture\u2019.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Now, open Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate Developer Mode<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. Then, open Apps menu and click on \u2018Update Modules List<\/strong>.\u2019<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    6. In the search bar, remove all the filters and search \u2018payment_paypal_manual_capture\u2019.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    7. You will be able to see Odoo PayPal Payment Manual Capture in the search results.  Click on \u2018Activate<\/strong>\u2019 to install it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Workflow<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

      Configuration of Odoo PayPal Payment Manual Capture<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. From the Odoo backend, go to Website \u2192 Configuration \u2192 Payment Providers \u2192 PayPal<\/strong> and open the PayPal provider.
        Here, enter the PayPal Email, Client ID, Client Secret, and Webhook ID<\/strong>, then enable Test Mode<\/strong> or the Enabled<\/strong> state.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        2. Go to the Configuration<\/strong> tab of the PayPal provider and enable Capture Amount Manually<\/strong> so the system only authorizes payments at checkout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        3. Navigate to Website \u2192 Configuration \u2192 Payment Providers<\/strong> and locate the PayPal<\/strong> provider in the list. Make sure PayPal is marked as Published<\/strong> and visible to customers for checkout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        4. Add a product to the cart and proceed to checkout on your website. Choose PayPal<\/strong> as the payment method to begin the Authorized Payment process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        5. The customer is redirected to the PayPal login page to sign in with their PayPal account or choose a payment method.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        6. After logging in, the customer selects the preferred PayPal payment method such as card, bank, or PayPal balance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        7. Once the customer completes the PayPal approval, the order is placed successfully in Odoo. The website shows the message \u201cYour payment has been authorized.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        8. Open the related Payment Transaction<\/strong> in the backend where the status shows Authorized<\/strong>. You can see the Capture Transaction<\/strong>, Void Transaction<\/strong>, and the PayPal Authorization ID<\/strong> field here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        9. Click the Capture Transaction<\/strong> button to open the capture pop-up and enter the capture amount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        10. After capture, the system sets the transaction state to Confirmed<\/strong> and saves the PayPal Capture ID<\/strong> along with the Amount Captured<\/strong> field in the backend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        11. If you need to cancel the order before capture, click the Void Transaction<\/strong> button to cancel the authorized payment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        12. Once voided, the payment transaction state changes to Canceled<\/strong> with a success message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
