Introduction<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Odoo Lock Attachment <\/a>module allows locking attachments and records. You can enable or disable the lock attachment feature with just a click. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Users can access and lock any attachments or records they want. Locked records can not be edited or deleted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And in case a user tries to delete an attachment or records, they will get a validation error.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Installation<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    1. Once you purchase the App from Webkul store, you will receive a link to download module’s zip<\/strong> file<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Extract the file on your system after download finishes. As a result, you will be able to see a folder named- \u2018wk_lock_attachment.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Now, open Odoo App<\/a> and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate Developer Mode<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. Then, open Apps menu and click on \u2018Update Modules List<\/strong>.\u2019<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    6. In the search bar, remove all the filters and search \u2018wk_lock_attachment<\/strong>\u2019<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    7. You will be able to see module in the search results. Click on \u2018Install<\/strong>\u2019 to install it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Workflow<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

      1. Enable Lock Attachment Feature from User Configuration<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      After installing the Odoo Lock Attachment<\/strong> module, go to Settings \u2192 Users & Companies \u2192 Users<\/strong>.
      Select the desired user (for example, Admin).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      2<\/strong>. Under Access Rights \u2192 Other<\/strong>, check the Allow Lock \/ Unlock Attachments<\/strong> option.
      This enables the user to lock or unlock attachments and records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

       3. Lock or Unlock Records Easily<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      4. Validation Message When Trying to Edit a Locked Record<\/strong>.

      When a record is locked, users cannot edit it<\/strong>. If an attempt is made, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Odoo displays a validation error message, indicating that editing is restricted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      6. Lock or Unlock Attachments Easily<\/strong>

      Attachments can be locked or unlocked<\/strong> by clicking the Lock Icon<\/strong> on the right side of each attachment. Locked attachments cannot be deleted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
