It allows you to remove image backgrounds and optionally replace them with a custom background or a specified CMYK color.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prerequisites<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Python 3.9 or above<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>`virtualenv` (for creating a virtual environment) <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> Postman (optional, for testing API)<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note: <\/strong>You can either complete the API installation yourself or request assistance from our team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Setup Instructions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1. Create a Virtual Environment<br><\/strong>You need to create a virtual environment to manage the project&#8217;s dependencies.<br>Option 1:Using `virtualenv`:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>virtualenv myenv<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Option 2:Using`venv` (comes with Python):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>python3 -m venv myenv<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. Install Required Packages<br><\/strong>Once the virtual environment is activated, install the project dependencies:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>pip install -r requirements.txt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4. Configure Environment Variables<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Create a `.env` file in the root of your project (if it doesn&#8217;t already exist) and add the following configuration:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>TOKEN = &#8216;j6v&#8230;clZB&#8217;                      Replace with your API token.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>HOST = &#8216;localhost&#8217;                        Replace with your desired host<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PORT = &#8216;5000&#8217;                                Replace with the port number you want to run the server on<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong>: You can generate a API token by running the following command in your terminal<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>openssl rand -base64 48<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Make sure that the `.env` file is properly configured with the correct values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> This configuration will be used by Flask to run the application.<br><br><strong>5. Run the Flask Application<br><\/strong><br>After configuring your environment variables, you can run the Flask API server:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>nohup python app.py &amp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wk-index-wrap\"><div class=\"block-wrap\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading index-title\">Add-on Configuration<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>After installation of the add-on, you will find Image Background Remover in the list of the available add-ons, we will then configure the settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Click on&nbsp;<strong>\u201csettings\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;to Enable, Disable, Install or Refresh. Shown as below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the <strong>General<\/strong> tab, the admin can now configure the Image Background Remover add-on using <strong>two different providers<\/strong>, based on the added, click on the <strong>Save<\/strong> button to activate the add-on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This setup allows the admin to use <strong>AI-powered background removal<\/strong> through Gemini models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Option 2: Local Setup<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1120\" height=\"880\" URL<\/strong> \u2013 Enter the URL of the locally hosted background removal service<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Token<\/strong> \u2013 Enter the authentication token for API access<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>After adding the required details, click on the <strong>Save<\/strong> button to enable the module.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This option is useful when the background removal service is hosted on a local server or private network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wk-index-wrap\"><div class=\"block-wrap\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading index-title\">Product Image Background Removal<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Admin will navigate to the product create or edit page and from there the admin will see the option of removing background from images under the product images
