Odoo AI-Powered Image Search for Products<\/a><\/strong> enables customers to search products on an Odoo website using an image instead of keywords. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Customers can upload an existing image or capture one using their device camera to find visually similar products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This module uses AI-powered image embeddings to compare the uploaded image with products in the catalog and displays the closest matches along with their similarity scores. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This helps customers discover products more quickly and improves the overall shopping experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Administrators can configure image search settings, control product indexing, generate embeddings, and manage AI image search separately for each website from the Odoo backend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Installation<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    1. Once you purchase the App from Webkul store, you will receive a link to download module’s zip<\/strong> file<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Extract the file on your system after download finishes. As a result, you will be able to see a folder named \u2018website_product_image_search<\/strong>‘<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Now, open the Odoo App<\/a> and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate Developer Mode<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. Then, open Apps menu and click on \u2018Update Modules List<\/strong>.\u2019<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    6. In the search bar, remove all the filters and search \u2018website_product_image_search<\/strong>\u2019<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    7. You will be able to see module in the search results. Click on \u2018Activate<\/strong>\u2019 to install it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Configurations<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

      1. After installing Odoo AI-Powered Image Search for Products<\/strong>, the admin needs to configure the AI Image Search for the Odoo website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      2. To configure the module, navigate to Website >> Configuration >> Image Search Configuration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      3. In \u2018Image Search Configuration\u2019, click on the \u2018New\u2019 button to create a new AI Image Search Mapping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      4. Enter the mapping name and select the required website. In the \u2018Select Product\u2019 field, choose \u2018All Products\u2019 to process the complete catalog or \u2018Selected Products\u2019 to configure specific products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      5. Enable \u2018Show Similarity Score\u2019 to display the match percentage with the search results on the website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      6. Open the \u2018Extra Information\u2019 tab and set the required \u2018Similarity Threshold\u2019. Enable \u2018Include Extra Images\u2019 if additional product images need to be considered for image matching.<\/p>\n\n\n

      7.Open the \u2018Processing Status\u2019 tab to configure embedding generation. For large product catalogs, enable \u2018Use Cron Job\u2019 to process embeddings in the background.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      8. Set the \u2018Batch Size\u2019, \u2018Cron Interval\u2019, and \u2018Interval Unit\u2019 as required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      9. Click on \u2018Store Embeddings\u2019 to start generating embeddings for the configured products. The mapping moves through \u2018Draft\u2019, \u2018Processing\u2019, and \u2018Stored\u2019 stages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      10. Once all product embeddings are processed successfully, the \u2018Processing Status\u2019 tab displays the \u2018Embedding Generation Completed\u2019 message and the mapping status changes to \u2018Stored\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n

      Website View<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

      1. Navigate to the \u2018Shop\u2019 section from the Odoo website navbar. Click on the AI Image Search icon beside the search bar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      2. The \u2018AI Image Search\u2019 popup appears with options to upload an existing image or capture a new image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      3. Select \u2018Click to upload image\u2019 to choose an existing image from the device, or select \u2018Search by camera\u2019 to capture a new image. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Once the image is selected or captured, its preview appears in the AI Image Search popup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      4. Click on \u2018Search\u2019 to continue with the selected image, or click on \u2018Edit\u2019 to modify the image before searching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      5. On clicking \u2018Edit\u2019, the image editor opens. Use the available options to zoom in, zoom out, rotate, remove, re-upload, or adjust the selected area of the image. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      6. Save the changes after editing the image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      7. Click on \u2018Search\u2019 after selecting the required image. The module compares the image with the stored product embeddings and redirects the customer to the matching products on the Shop page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      8. The matching products appear according to their similarity scores, with the closest match displayed first. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      9. If \u2018Show Similarity Score\u2019 is enabled in the backend, the match percentage is displayed with each product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
