We are here with a new gateway integration for a<\/a>uto-payment<\/a> in the product auction app<\/a> i.e, Checkout.com. You can use this feature for auto charging the auction winner once the auction is ended. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

NOTE: This feature has been depreciated as per Shopify’s guidelines.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Go to “auction configuration” and then enable autopay to use the autopay feature . <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once the autopay feature is enabled, you can opt for the gateway you want to integrate for autopayment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To use checkout.com, choose the same and save. (refer to the below-attached screenshot)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once this is saved, you need to configure your “checkout.com” account into the auction app by saving your API details. For that,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Click on “edit checkout.com payment configuration”.
2. Select the environment.
3. Enter your “secret key” and “public key”
4. Save.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once the API details are saved, your checkout.com account will be integrated with the product auction app for auto-payments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please contact “Checkout.com<\/a>” to get all these API details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you don’t have an existing account on “Checkout.com” then you can request the same from here <\/a>
Now, please check the additional settings for autopay explained below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

BULK AUTOPAY<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

In case you want to charge your winners in bulk at a particular time of the day, you can enable the “bulk autopay orders” feature. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example: Charging all the winners declared in the last 24 hours at 2:00 PM every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note: In case of bulk autopay, there will be a single order if a winner has won multiple auctions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enable the “bulk autopay order” setting from here (refer to the screenshot)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SHIPPING METHOD for auto-pay.<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Enable this setting if you want to apply shipping rates and allow customers to select the shipping method set up on your Shopify store before bidding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AUTO-PAY TAXES<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Enable this setting if you want to apply taxes that are set up on your Shopify store in auto-payment of winning auctions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Custom Taxes:<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

There are countries where you cannot setup custom taxes on Shopify as the taxes are calculated automatically via your VAT number or Sales tax Number. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These taxes cannot be retrieved via API so you can setup custom taxes for those countries from here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Front-end flow:<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Let us checkout the front-end flow of these features from the customer’s point of view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once the bidder clicks on “Place bid” to place the first bid, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

there will be a pop-up asking for the card details of the bidder so that the card is charged automatically in case the bidder wins the auction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once the card details are saved, there will be another pop-up asking for the “shipping method” that the bidder needs to save.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now once the shipping method is saved, the first bid will be placed and the bidder can place further bids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

UPDATE CARD DETAILS AND SHIPPING METHOD<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, the customer can update the card details and shipping methods from the “my account section here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NOTE: In case the winner card is declined or the payment failed, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

the winner will receive an email with the “pay now” link through which the winner can checkout the product from your Shopify store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
