While filling in addresses, customers often make mistakes and fill in the wrong addresses or cities. This cause millions of dollars in loss to business owners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To overcome this issue and save millions of dollars, we created Odoo Website Address City. This module overrides the default functionality of entering the city and provides a drop-down in its place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, with this module, after state selection, a dropdown will appear in the city section for users to choose their city. Further, from the backend, the admin can enable or disable city selection with just a click at their convenience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  2. From the backend, you can enable or disable city selection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Also, you can enter zip codes while creating cities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. While entering the address, the customer can select cities from the dropdown.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Users can easily edit the address while placing orders for a product.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Further, the customers can change their address from their profile too.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    INSTALLATION<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    1. Once you purchase the App from Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- \u2018website_address_city<\/strong>.\u2019<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. Then, open the Apps menu and click on \u2018Update Modules List.\u2019<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    6. In the search bar, remove all the filters and search \u2018website_address_city.\u2019<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    7. You will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on \u2018Install<\/strong>\u2019 to install it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      WORKFLOW<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      1. Firstly, log in to your Odoo backend, and locate \u2018Contacts>Configuration> Countries.\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      2. On the new page, find and click on your country name to open it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      3. Once opened, you can see the list of all the states. Click on \u2018Enforce Cities\u2019<\/strong> to enable the city dropdown. After that, \u2018Save\u2019<\/strong> the changes and click the \u2018Cities\u2019<\/strong> Option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      4. Next, click the \u2018Create\u2019<\/strong> button, fill in the city name, zip code (if you want), and state. Once done, click the \u2018Save\u2019<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      5. Now, open your website frontend and open \u2018My Account,\u2019<\/strong> located under Username.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      6. Next, on the Profile page, click the \u2018Edit\u2019<\/strong> option next to Details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      7. After that, you will see a drop-down arrow in the city block.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      8. Similarly, you can edit or change the city while placing the order. Add a product to the cart. And on the address page, click on the \u2018Edit\u2019<\/strong> icon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      9. After that, the \u2018Your Address\u2019<\/strong> page will open and you can see a dropdown in the City block.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
