In this guide, we are sharing the steps to follow for configuring the Gmail SMTP settings into your application so that the end-user will receive the emails from your own email address. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steps to configure SMTP<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Step 1:- <\/strong>In the first step, you need to complete the 2-Step Verification in the Google account settings for that you need to open your google account settings and then click on Security<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In security, you need to click on 2-step verification and turn it “On”. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After turning On the 2- Step Verification, you need to search for “App Password” in the search box. Then you will find “App Password” in the search result then click on App Passwords as shown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3:-<\/strong> Now you need to create the password for the application you want to use. Click on the select app and choose Other(Custom name).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 4:-<\/strong> After choosing the Other(Custom name), Enter the name of the application for which you want to generate the password and click on Generate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 5:-<\/strong> After clicking on generate, You will get a one-time password which you can use to configure with your Gmail. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note:- <\/strong> Kindly copy and save the password in the notepad because you can use it only one time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 6:-<\/strong> After getting the password, Kindly go back to the application and enter the below details and click on Save:-<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Host –<\/strong> smtp.gmail.com<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Port –<\/strong> 465<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Username –<\/strong> Enter the email address from which you generated the app password.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Password –<\/strong> Enter the one-time password which you copied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Encryption –<\/strong> SSL<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Email From –<\/strong> Enter your email address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click on Save<\/strong> to save the configuration settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
