Data security is one of the things that users are most concerned about over the internet. Typically, users don\u2019t want to share their details on any website because it could cause their details to leak or be misused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The EU laid down some guidelines to assure user data safety and security over the web. These guidelines help protect data and ask permission from users to store their details on any website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Odoo website Cookie Consent allows you to ask permission from users to store their details. In addition, the module obeys GDPR law. Further, the cookie consent banner asks for user permission to collect information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You would require to install the above module first for Odoo Website Cookie Consent to work perfectly.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

FEATURES<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
  1. The module adds a cookie consent banner on the Odoo website.<\/li>
  2. You can enable or disable the feature from the Odoo backend.<\/li>
  3. The cookie consent banner is displayed on every page of the website.<\/li>
  4. Customers can accept and close the cookie banner from the website.<\/li>
  5. You can add the details of the privacy policy and cookie policy in the cookie consent banner.<\/li>
  6. Also, customers can request to delete or download their data.<\/li>
  7. You can customize the messages in the backend.<\/li>
  8. Create a template for GDPR data.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    INSTALLATION<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    1. Once you purchase the App from Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.<\/li>
    2. Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- \u2018wk_website_cookie_consent.\u2019<\/strong><\/li>
    3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.<\/li>
    4. Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.<\/li>
    5. Then, open the Apps menu and click on \u2018Update Modules List.\u2019<\/strong><\/li>
    6. In the search bar, remove all the filters and search \u2018wk_website_cookie_consent.\u2019<\/strong><\/li>
    7. You will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on \u2018Install<\/strong>\u2019 to install it.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      WORKFLOW CONFIGURATION<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      1. Firstly, go to \u2018Settings> Website> GDPR Configuration.\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      2. Now configure GDPR settings. Also, you can enable the GDPR message. Further, you can use the default GDPR message or write your new message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      3. In the \u2018Data Removal Messages\u2019<\/strong> tab, type the message to show to users or use the default message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      9. On the new page, you can view every \u2018Download\u2019<\/strong> and \u2018Delete\u2019<\/strong> request by the user.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      10. Click on any download or delete request to view its information, as shown below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      11. Now, go to your website, you can view the cookie consent banner at the bottom of the page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      12. After that, go to \u2018My Account> Manage Your Personal Data.\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      13. On the next page, you can select \u2018Your Personal Details\u2019 <\/strong>or \u2018Your Addresses,\u2019 <\/strong>Click on \u2018Remove all Data\u2019 <\/strong>or \u2018Download all Data.\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      14. On clicking \u2018Remove all Data,\u2019 <\/strong>a popup will appear and ask for confirmation, and once confirmed, click ‘Remove.’<\/strong> After that, you will see a request submission message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
