SKU:<\/strong> A stock-keeping unit (SKU) is a scannable barcode, most often seen printed on product labels in a retail store. The label allows vendors to automatically track the movement of inventory. The SKU is composed of an alphanumeric combination of eight-or-so characters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the App:<\/strong> Odoo SKU Generator module mainly generates the SKU (Internal Reference Code)<\/strong> for your website products. These codes are then allotted to each and every product available on the website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The codes enable you to differentiate between products of the same shape, size, and quantity in terms of their packaging date, expiry date, price, quantity, sold or not, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    INSTALLATION<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
    1. Once you have purchased the module from our Webkul store, you will receive a link to download the zip file of the module.<\/li>
    2. Extract the file from your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- \u2018sku_generator<\/strong>\u2019.<\/li>
    3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.<\/li>
    4. Now, open the Odoo and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode. You can activate the developer mode by typing \u2018debug<\/strong>\u2019 after \u2018web?<\/strong>\u2019 in the URL as well.<\/li>
    5. Now, open the Apps menu and click on \u2018Update Modules List\u2019.<\/li>
    6. In the search bar, remove all the filters and search \u2018sku_generator<\/strong>\u2019.<\/li>
    7. You will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on \u2018Install<\/strong>\u2019 to install it.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      WORKFLOW<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
      1. Once the installation is completed, visit the ‘Settings<\/strong>‘ App from the backend and under the Sales<\/strong> tab, enabling the automatic generation of SKU as shown.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        1. After that, visit the Sales App from the backend and follow the path Configuration>>SKU Generator<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          1. Here, you can see the list of all the SKU Generators as shown. Click on the \u2018Create<\/strong>\u2019 Button.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                1. Now, follow the path Product>>Product Variants>>Select the product<\/strong>.<\/li>
                2. Click on Action Button and select \u2018Update Product SKU<\/strong>\u2019.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                  1. It will again ask for confirmation as asked above.<\/li>
                  2. Like this, you will be able to generate product SKU<\/strong> of your online store products.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
