Odoo POS Fast Loading<\/a>, While purchasing products, the system loading and processing should be fast, so that the order would have been processed efficiently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Customers need fast, efficient checkouts. The system must handle 100,000 products and clients simultaneously without delays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Webkul\u2019s Odoo POS Fast Loading speeds up your POS by 80x and improves product and customer management with auto-sync for Products, Customers, and Pricelist data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The system stores cache, so for the next time, it loads even more speedily. Additionally, data handling and storage also become cost-effective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  2. Cache support on the Browser for fast loading time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Can handle 100,000 products and 100,000 customers on the go.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Load Product from the cache to make the POS more synchronized.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Manually Sync the POS data to a database (PostgresDB or MongoDB).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Changes made to products will auto-sync into the database (MongoDB or PostgresDB).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Real-time sync and Additional Product and Partner fields to Odoo POS.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. Every data update and the record is saved in Odoo.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. Changed data syncs in a running POS session.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  10. This module uses MongoDB or PostgresDB to store and upload data to Odoo POS.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Installation<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    1. Once you purchase the App from the Webkul store, you will receive a link to download the module’s zip<\/strong> file<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. As a result, you will be able to see a folder named- \u2018pos_fast_loading<\/strong>\u2019<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. Then, open the Apps menu and click \u2018Update Modules List<\/strong>.\u2019<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    6. In the search bar, remove all the filters and search \u2018pos_fast_loading<\/strong>\u2019<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    7. You will be able to see the module in the search results. Click on \u2018Install<\/strong>\u2019 to install it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Workflow<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

      1. Open the POS in your system, go to \u2018Configuration\u2019<\/strong> and then choose \u2018POS Fast Loading Setup\u2019<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      2. On the new page, click the \u2018New\u2019<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      3. Now, choose the \u2018Load POS Data From\u2019<\/strong> (Database) Mongo or Postgres. The image below shows the case of Postgre DB, which uses existing data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      4. On choosing \u2018Mongo\u2019 <\/strong>DB, you need to enter the \u2018Host\u2019<\/strong> URL and \u2018Port\u2019<\/strong> addresses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      CHOOSING POS SYNCING OPTION<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      5. Also, choose \u2018POS Synching\u2019<\/strong> from the given options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      5.1. Real Time Update:<\/strong> On choosing this option, changes will automatically sync in the POS after every one or two minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      5.2. Apply changes On Reloading:<\/strong> The changes will sync automatically when the page reloads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      5.3. Only Notify When Changes Occur:<\/strong> The users will see a \u2018refresh\u2019<\/strong> icon in the menu bar by which they can sync the change by tapping that option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      5.4. The POS will show the \u2018Refresh\u2019 <\/strong>icon as shown in the image below when the user chooses the \u2018Only Notify When Changes Occur.\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      CHOOSING DATA FIELDS FOR UPDATE<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      6. Now, go to the \u2018Data Fields\u2019<\/strong> tab and choose All Partner Fields\u2019<\/strong> if you want to load all the partner fields at once. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Odoo POS will load all the default fields, but if you require to load some other fields, choose the \u2018Additional Partner Fields\u2019<\/strong> option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      6.1. Last Modified On,<\/strong> Active, Active Lang Count, Next Activity Deadline, Activity Exception Decoration, Icon, and Activities.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      All these are additional fields that will only load when you select any one of them.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      7. On checking the box next to \u2018All product fields,\u2019<\/strong> all the product fields will load faster. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Moreover, on choosing the \u2018Additional Product Field,\u2019<\/strong> you need to select any of the below-listed options so POS can load it with default fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      7.1. Last Modified On, Accessory Products, Account Tags, Active, Next Activity Deadline, Activity Exception Decoration, and Icon.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      You can choose any of the following to be updated along with the default POS fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      SYNCING PRODUCTS, CUSTOMERS, AND PRICELISTS<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      8. Once done, click the \u2018Save\u2019<\/strong> button. Below the \u2018Edit and Create\u2019<\/strong> button, you will see the three buttons performing the following functions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      8.1. Sync Products-<\/strong> This button will let you sync all the updated products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      8.2. Sync Customers-<\/strong> With this button, you can sync the changes\/ updates in customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      8.3. Sync Pricelists-<\/strong> This will sync the changes or updates in the pricelists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      9. On choosing any of the three options, a similar popup will appear on the screen with a different message telling you the number of synced products, customers, and pricelists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      10. On clicking the \u2018close\u2019<\/strong> button, the POS fast loading is already integrated into the system and will automatically take effect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
