While it is off, the storefront search bar works as it does without the extension.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Minimum Search Characters:<\/strong> How many characters a customer types before suggestions appear. Enter a number from <strong>1<\/strong> to <strong>5<\/strong>; it is <strong>1<\/strong> until you change it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Products Limit:<\/strong> How many products the dropdown lists. Enter a number from <strong>1<\/strong> to <strong>10<\/strong>; it is <strong>5<\/strong> until you change it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Show Searched Terms:<\/strong> Adds a row at the bottom of the dropdown showing what the customer typed and how many products match. The row links to the full search results page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Show Categories:<\/strong> Shows the categories each product belongs to under its name, such as <strong>in Kids, Girls Clothing<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Click <strong>Save Configuration<\/strong>. Your storefront shows the new settings on the next page load.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Default<\/strong> label beside each setting names the channel it applies to. If you run more than one channel, configure Search Suggestion for each one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wk-index-wrap\"><div class=\"block-wrap\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading index-title\">Front-End View<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Once <strong>Status<\/strong> is on, suggestions appear as soon as a customer has typed at least the <strong>Minimum Search Characters<\/strong> in the storefront search bar. Clicking a row opens that product&#8217;s page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The line under each product name lists the categories it belongs to, when <strong>Show Categories<\/strong> is on.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The last row shows the searched term and the total number of matching products, when <strong>Show Searched Terms<\/strong> is on. Products are listed alphabetically by name.
