Use this to make an advanced translation that includes front-end texts coming from your theme and plugins, menus, widgets, and more.<\/span><\/p>\n

Further, in this guide, you will find and learn step by step process on how to make the translation in your <\/strong><\/span>WooCommerce Multi-vendor Marketplace.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Installation & Configuring WPML<\/b><\/h2>\n

Simply, go to <\/span>https:\/\/wpml.org\/account\/<\/span><\/a> after logging in, click the <\/span>Downloads<\/b> button right below the My Account option.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Download WPML with String Translation, Translation Management, and Media Translation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On the admin panel, go to the <\/span>Plugins > Add New <\/b>click <\/span>Upload plugin <\/b>select the zip files and install.<\/span><\/p>\n

WPML – Initial Language Setup\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n

To prepare your store for Multilingual translation you need to perform some initial settings.<\/span><\/p>\n

Firstly, go to the <\/span>WPML > Languages <\/b>to enable <\/span>Site Languages<\/b> as shown below.<\/span><\/p>\n

Here, you will have the option to set the <\/span>order of the languages <\/b>and what should appear if the translation is missing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Customize what to include in the language switcher. Choose colours for all parts of the language switcher. <\/span><\/p>\n

WPML options allow displaying a country flag, the native language name and the language name in the page\u2019s language.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Links to translation of posts<\/h3>\n

WPML option can display links to translations of posts before the post and after it. These links look like “This post is also available in…”<\/p>\n

Custom Language Switchers<\/b><\/h3>\n

In the Custom language switchers section, you can enable or disable the custom language switchers on your site.<\/span><\/p>\n

WooCommerce Marketplace View – Language Switcher<\/h2>\n

The way how a customer of your marketplace can fetch the desired language translation made using WPML is described below.<\/p>\n

Firstly, the user may simply click the desired language from the footer of the marketplace store as shown below.<\/p>\n

What should happen with your automatically translated content<\/strong><\/b><\/h2>\n

By default, WPML utilizes DeepL for translating your content. However, you have the flexibility to switch to a different translation engine if you prefer.<\/p>\n

Steps to Change the Translation Engine:<\/h3>\n

  1. Navigate to WPML \u2192 Settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  2. Scroll to the Automatic Translation<\/strong> section.<\/li>\n
  3. Drag your preferred translation engine to the top of the list to set it as the default.<\/li>\n
  4. To disable a translation engine entirely, toggle the switch to OFF<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Shopping Cart Page Language Translation<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

    WPML Multilingual CMS contains WCML (WooCommerce Multilingual),<\/a> which is a plugin that will help you easily translate your e-commerce texts including products, shop and cart pages, checkout and more.<\/p>\n

    Texts that have not been detected by WCML can be translated via the String Translation<\/a> module.\u00a0<\/p>\n

    \"Cart-\u2013-TESTDEMO\"<\/p>\n

    Perform String Translations Using WPML\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n

    WPML String Translation helps you to translate texts that are not in posts, pages and taxonomy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Which includes the site\u2019s tagline, general texts in the admin screens, widget titles and many other texts.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Firstly, go to the <\/span>WPML > String Translation.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

    Here you may translate all of the strings that you need use filters to narrow down your search and find the exact string you are looking for.\u00a0<\/p>\n

    Further, click the Edit icon or Add translation icon to proceed further. As you can check below after adding text, simply save<\/strong> it.<\/p>\n

    Seller Registration Page String Translation<\/h2>\n

    The below image is an example of the seller registration page string translation in the german language simply by clicking the German language button from the footer.<\/p>\n

    Please note –\u00a0<\/strong> The admin must add a page translation from the back end to enable users and sellers to translate a specific page into their desired language.<\/p>\n

    To ease out the string translation user process, one may simply go to WPML > Themes and Plugins localization.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

    As shown above, check the checkbox of the selected plugin (here Marketplace for WooCommerce) and next click the button Scan selected plugin for strings.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Now a popup will appear with scanning results. Further, open all the strings in the marketplace by clicking the domain button.\u00a0<\/p>\n

    Here click the Add icon and perform string translation using the editor as shown below.<\/p>\n

    Translating Products – WPML<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

    For the product, translations go to WPML > Translation Management.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \u00a0<\/strong>Filter all the products click the checkbox and Add selected content .<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Selected content includes items that were originally created in this language. Select these items to proceed for the translation options.<\/p>\n

    After which, in the section\u00a0Translation Control, <\/strong>click send all items for translation and select the Translated Method\u00a0 and then click the translate button .<\/p>\n

    Next, go to the section WPML > Translations\u00a0<\/strong>and translation for the product using the advanced editor as shown below.<\/p>\n

    Seller Dashboard String Translation<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    Without using the string translator some of the elements couldn’t be translated before as shown in the below image.<\/p>\n

    Now in this section, we have described the workflow of how a user can translate all the elements on the seller Dashboard.<\/p>\n

    Now to translate the keyword Shipping\u00a0<\/strong>the admin can navigate to\u00a0WPML > String Translation.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Further, type the keyword in the search box and click search if the particular string is not available to translate a message with can’t find the strings you’re looking to translate?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

    will appear on the screen click on the same.<\/p>\n

    Next, click on the\u00a0Choose texts for translation <\/strong>button as shown below.<\/p>\n

    Further, search the particular keyword that you are looking for translate and then click the checkbox to select the string and click the button Add to String Translation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Finally, click the button Return to String Translation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Now translate the particular string as shown below using WPML string translation.<\/p>\n

    Seller Product Translation<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    As soon as a seller tries to translate the product from their end they will find that the access of such isn’t available on their end.<\/p>\n

    Therefore, the seller needs to request admin permission to translate their product.<\/p>\n

    Using the basic marketplace feature (Ask to admin) <\/strong>the seller can use it to raise a request to the admin for granting access to translate the product.<\/p>\n

    The admin is required to add the seller as a translator for this the admin can navigate to\u00a0WPML > Translation Management > Translators.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Further, click\u00a0Add a translator\u00a0<\/strong>and select an existing user and set them as Translator.<\/p>\n

    Further, the admin can select languages in which the seller can translate their products and click Save<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    After which the seller can translate all of their products on their own as shown below.<\/p>\n

    WPML Dedicated Media Translation Editor\u00a0<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

    The WPML Media Translation helps in performing the translation of images and other media for translated content.<\/p>\n

    Users will be able to add\/upload replacement images for content in different languages and translate the meta texts of those images.<\/p>\n

    Firstly, go to the <\/span>WPML > Media Translation.<\/b><\/p>\n

    At last for media translation click the Add\/Edit icon for making media or image content translations.<\/p>\n

    There are certain media elements like product page, seller profile icon, banner and more that could create problems for users if not available in the native language.<\/p>\n

    Using the WPML all such media translations are fetched by a customer by simply switching to a desired language from the footer.<\/p>\n

    Further, below is an example of a product that a user can translate by using the above process.<\/p>\n
