A seller can obtain the App Id and secret while creating an app on a Facebook developer account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Catalogue ID<\/strong> &#8211; A catalogue is a container where a seller can keep all the products he wants to sell on Facebook or Instagram. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whenever a seller creates a new catalogue on Facebook, he gets a catalogue ID that he needs to enter under the Credentials tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/storecdn.webkul.com\/showcase\/590\/1723546935.png\" alt=\"credentials\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>After saving the App ID, App secret &amp; catalogue ID, a button to generate Facebook token becomes available. On the successful generation of token, a seller needs to close the page because of security reasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Export Settings<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the Export Settings tab, a seller needs to enter the name &amp; description of the default brand. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If no brand is found while exporting the products to Facebook, then those products are exported with the default brand set by the seller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/storecdn.webkul.com\/showcase\/590\/1723546933.png\" alt=\"export settings\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wk-index-wrap\"><div class=\"block-wrap\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading index-title\">How to generate the API keys<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>A seller needs to create a developer account on <a href=\"https:\/\/developers.facebook.com\/\">Facebook<\/a> in order to get the API keys. After logging in to the account, go to the \u201cMy Apps\u201d section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/1-3-1200x644.png\" alt=\"1-3\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On clicking the \u201cMy Apps\u201d button, a seller will land on the following page. Here, a seller can see the list of all the previously created apps. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, in order to create a new app, click on the \u201cCreate App\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/2-4-1200x689.png\" alt=\"2-4\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>After that select the app category as \u201cManage Business Integrations\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/3-3-1200x595.png\" alt=\"3-3\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Here, a seller needs to enter the name of the app, contact email &amp; select app purpose to \u201cyour own business\u201d to proceed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/4-4-1200x595.png\" alt=\"4-4\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On clicking the create app button, an app gets created. On this page, a seller can find the App ID &amp; App Secret. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apart from this, a seller also needs to add his website domain address in \u201cApp Domains\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/5-2-1200x625.png\" alt=\"5-2\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wk-index-wrap\"><div class=\"block-wrap\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading index-title\">Add \u201cFacebook Login\u201d to your app<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>After creating the app, a seller needs to add \u201cFacebook Login\u201d product to his app. For that, go to \u201cProducts\u201d section &amp; proceed to set up the \u201cFacebook Login\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/6-2-1200x625.png\" alt=\"6-2\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to set up the \u201cFacebook Login\u201d product, select a platform for which this app will be used. A seller need to select the website as a platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/7-2-1200x625.png\" alt=\"7-2\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>After selecting the website as a platform, a seller needs to enter the front-end URL of his website. A seller just need to copy &amp; paste it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/10-1-1200x625.png\" alt=\"10-1\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This was all about the process of creating the API keys. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wk-index-wrap\"><div class=\"block-wrap\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading index-title\">Create a product catalogue on Facebook<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The seller needs to create a product on the Facebook catalogue because Instagram allows products of Facebook catalogue to be tagged in the Instagram posts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hence to do that, a seller must create a product catalogue and export his products to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To create a product catalogue on Facebook, go to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/products\">catalogue manager<\/a> and &amp; click on \u2018create catalogue\u2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/4-4-1200x563.png\" alt=\"create a new catalogue on the facebook\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Select the domain of business &amp; click on \u2018Next\u2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/5-1-1200x552.png\" alt=\"Select business domain\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Seller must select \u2018upload products info\u2019 as the process to add products to catalogue. The reason to select the first option is that the seller cannot connect to Facebook yet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/6-1.png\" alt=\"upload products info\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>After clicking on next, a seller can view a new catalogue under \u2018All catalogue\u2019 list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/7-4-1200x578.png\" alt=\"facebook catalogue created\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This was all about the process to create a new catalogue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wk-index-wrap\"><div class=\"block-wrap\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading index-title\">Enable Two-factor authentication<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Follow the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/products\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">link<\/a> to enable two-factor authentication to access product catalogs. After that, a seller needs to click on the product catalog for which he wants to enable the two-factor authentication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/11-1-1200x669.png\" alt=\"11-1\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/11-1-1200x669.png\" alt=\"11-1\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On clicking the product catalogue, a seller will land on the following page.\u00a0Now, click on \u201cdots\u201d available at the upper left of the page. On clicking the dots, a tab appends. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here, click on the \u201cBusiness Settings\u201d to proceed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/12-1-1200x625.png\" alt=\"12-1\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Under \u201cBusiness Settings\u201d, go to \u201cBusiness Info\u201d section. Under this section, a seller will find an option of Two-factor authentication. Enable this option for \u201ceveryone\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In case, if you set it to admins then only store admins will be able to access the product catalogs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/13-1-1200x624.png\" alt=\"13-1\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>So, this was all about the process to enable two-factor authentication for product catalogs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wk-index-wrap\"><div class=\"block-wrap\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading index-title\">Map categories of Prestashop<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The catalogue of Facebook has an open API &amp; Instagram allows the products of facebook catalogue to tag in Instagram posts\/stories. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hence to achieve the functionality, the seller must send the products to the Facebook catalogue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To export products to the Facebook catalogue, a seller needs to sync the categories of Prestashop with google taxonomy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The reason to sync\/ map category is that Facebook only identifies the Google categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To send the products to Facebook, a seller must map the category with the Google category.
