I<\/strong>NTRODUCTION<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Odoo Discount on Purchase Order: Lure your vendors with good discounts!!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every customer wants a good discount on their every purchase. Similarly, vendors also seek good discounts at the time of purchase order. Hence, to make it possible we created Odoo Discount on Purchase Orders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Odoo Discount on Purchase Order module basically provides you with an extra option of deciding the exact amount of discount you wish to provide to your vendor. Unlike default, the fixed type discount helps you to exactly decide the amount of the discount you wish to provide to your vendors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further, the Odoo app allows managing sales orders and invoice reports with the discount applied. It also enables you to successfully apply discounts on tax-included and tax-excluded amounts. You can also provide global discounts that make it easy for you to lure your customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NOTE: <\/em><\/strong>Odoo Discount on Purchase Order<\/em> Module works in conjunction with the following module:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Odoo Discount on Invoices and Bills<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You would require to install these modules first for Odoo Discount on Purchase Order to work correctly.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

F<\/strong>EATURES<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. Odoo Discount on Purchase Orders allows you to apply a discount on purchase orders both orderline-wise and globally on the whole order.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. You can set fixed or percentage discount types at global and in-line-level.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Apply global fixed and percent discounts while creating purchase orders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. You can apply either fixed or percent discount Types on the purchase order.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. You can also set Global discounts on taxed and untaxed amounts in the purchase order.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Unlike the default functionality, you can even set the fixed type of global discount as per your wish.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. You will be able to showcase all the discount details in the purchase order.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. You can even show the discount details on the downloaded\/printed purchase order.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. The discounts are also shown in the bill<\/strong> generated for the purchase order. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  10. The discounts applied on purchase orders are also carried automatically forward to the generated bills with the help of the base module –Odoo Discount On Invoices and Bills<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    I<\/strong>NSTALLATION<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    1. Once you purchase the App from Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- \u2018discount_purchase_order<\/strong>.\u2019<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. Then, open the Apps menu and click on \u2018Update Modules List.\u2019<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    6. In the search bar, remove all the filters and search \u2018discount_purchase_order<\/strong>.\u2019<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    7. You will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on \u2018Install<\/strong>\u2019 to install it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      W<\/strong>ORKFLOW<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Hopping on to the configuration of Odoo Discount on Purchase Order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      CONFIGURATION<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      1. Go to ‘Purchase> Configurtion> Settings’<\/strong> after installing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      2. Now, click the ‘Invoicing’<\/strong> tab, and under the ‘Customer Invoices’<\/strong> tab tick ‘A Global Discount on Invoices\/Bills.’<\/strong> Also, add the ‘Invoice Discount Account and Bill Discount Account.’<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Configure the settings whether you want to apply a global discount on the tax included or excluded amount. Once done, click the ‘Save’<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      CREATING PURCHASE ORDERS EXCLUDING TAX<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      3. Return to the ‘Purchase’<\/strong> module from the Odoo backend. Click on the \u2018New<\/strong>\u2019 button to create a new quotation (RFQ).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      4. Next, Fill in all the details like vendor name, order date, etc. Add products in the order line for which you want to create the purchase order and add a percentage discount in one orderline and a fixed discount in the other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      CREATING PURCHASE ORDERS INCLUDING TAX<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      5. Now, again go to ‘Purchase> Configuration> Settings> Invoicing’<\/strong> and select the ‘Tax Included’<\/strong> option under the ‘Customer Invoices’<\/strong> tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      6. Open the ‘Purchase’<\/strong> module from the Odoo backend. Click on the \u2018New<\/strong>\u2019 button to create a new quotation (RFQ).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      7. Fill in all the details like vendor name, order date, etc. Add products in the order line for which you want to create the purchase order and add a percentage discount in one orderline and a fixed discount in the other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Also, add the global discount while adding product and taxes in the purchase order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      8. Click the ‘% Add Disocunt’<\/strong> to add a global discount on the entire order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      9. You can see the global discount on every orderline and added in the total discount. Also, you can check the ‘Total Global Discount’<\/strong> and update or remove the discount from the provided buttons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
