Offering discounts to customers is one of the most useful strategies to attract them to your website. With Odoo, you are able to provide a percent discount to customers. But, what if, you get the flexibility to provide a flat\/fixed amount of discount?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Odoo Discounts on Invoices and Bills module allows you to add different types of discounts on sales and invoice purchase bills in Odoo. Also, the module provides the flexibility to choose between percent or fixed-type discounts allowing you to fill the desired discount amounts without losing your profits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, it helps you to provide discounts on different levels of Invoices and purchase bills too. You can even provide global discounts that make it easy for you to fulfill the customer\u2019s desire of getting discounts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

F<\/strong>EATURES<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. It allows you to set different types of discounts while creating Invoices and Bills in Odoo.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Set discount types at global and inline-level: Fixed and Percent based.<\/li>\n\n\n\n

    I<\/strong>NSTALLATION<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    1. Once you purchase the App from Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- \u2018discount_account_invoice<\/strong>.\u2019<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. Then, open the Apps menu and click on \u2018Update Modules List.\u2019<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    6. In the search bar, remove all the filters and search \u2018discount_account_invoice.\u2019<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    7. You will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on \u2018Install\u2019<\/strong> to install it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      W<\/strong>ORKFLOW<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Let’s hop on to the configuration of Odoo Discounts on Invoices and Bills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      CONFIGURATION<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      1. Move to ‘Invoicing> Configuration> Settings’<\/strong> after installing the module.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      2. Under the customer invoices tab, set whether you want to apply ‘A Global Discount on Invoices\/bills.’ Also, set the Invoice discount account & bill discount account. Moreover, you can configure the discount on ‘Tax Excluded’<\/strong> or ‘Tax Included.’<\/strong> Once done, click the ‘Save’<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      CREATING A DISCOUNTED INVOICE<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

      3. Next, you will see the list of all the invoices created by you. Click on the \u2018Create\u2019<\/strong> button to create a new invoice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      4. Enter the customer name, invoice date, reference<\/strong>, etc. After that, add a product in the invoice line for which you want to create the invoice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      5. As soon as you set the discount price, you will be able to select between the fixed type or percent type discount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      NOTE:<\/strong> Unlike default, the Odoo Discounts on Invoices and Bills module helps you to choose between the Fixed<\/strong> or Percent<\/strong> type. So, choose between the options you want to set the discount as per your wish.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

      CREATING A DISCOUNTED VENDOR BILL<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

      8. To create a discounted bill, move to ‘Invoicing> Vendors> Bills.’<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      9. Here you will see the list of bills created by you. Click on the \u2018Create\u2019<\/strong> button to make a new bill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      10. Fill in the details like vendor name, bill date, accounting date, etc. Add a product in the bill line for which you want to create the invoice and bill. Once done, click the ‘Save’<\/strong> icon and ‘Confirm’<\/strong> the bill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
