Those cut off dates will not be available in the booking calendar for customers to rent items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note:- <\/strong>This feature is exclusively implemented for &#8220;Rent Type&#8221; bookings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wk-index-wrap\"><div class=\"block-wrap\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading index-title\"><\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>You can configure the blackout dates settings while creating a rent type booking product in the app. Before getting into the details, let&#8217;s understand how to create rental bookings in the app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>RENT TYPE BOOKINGS<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can create rental type bookings in the app to offer rental products&nbsp;such as bike on rent, jewelry on rent, rental dresses, etc on your website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All you need to do is just add a date range when your booking product is available for rent.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The customer will select a start and end date from the added date-range and rent the product.<br>Example:- Hire a cycle, Rent a car, etc<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1051\" height=\"529\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot-79.png\" alt=\"rent type booking\" class=\"wp-image-242064\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot-79.png 1051w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot-79-300x151.png 300w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot-79-250x126.png 250w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot-79-768x387.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1051px) 100vw, 1051px\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Steps to Create Rent Type Bookings:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Step 1: Go to the <strong>Products<\/strong> section of your Shopify store. Select a product &amp; click on the <strong>Booking Product<\/strong> button in the <strong>Action<\/strong> menu.<br><br>OR You can simply go to the app and click the &#8220;<strong>Add Booking Product<\/strong>&#8221; button in the &#8220;Booking Product&#8221; section.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Step 2: Select a variant, if required &amp; proceed to fill additional details of the product such as Single-user or Multi-user booking &amp; service location.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Step 3: Select the Booking type as \u201c<strong>Rent Type<\/strong>\u201d. Select a date range when you want the bookings to be available for rent.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Step 4: Add custom information in case you want to display some required information about your bookings &amp; add custom fields to take some additional info from customers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wk-index-wrap\"><div class=\"block-wrap\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading index-title\"><\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>After you get return of your rented item, you may require some time to get the item in a good position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Suppose you offer rental dresses on your website. Once the customer returns the rental dress, you need to dry clean it before offering it to another customer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For this, you may require the time of 2-3 days to get it done and make it ready to be rented again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, the blackout dates settings will allow you to make the rental items unavailable for the customers based on the pre &amp; post date settings. <br>Let&#8217;s understand the scenario in detail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Pre Blackout Days:-<\/span> <\/strong>In the app, you need to enter the no of the days you want to block before the booking date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#1a4e29\">Example: Suppose <strong>product A is booked for 15th March<\/strong> &amp; <strong>Pre blackout days is set to 2<\/strong> then, the product will be <strong>unavailable for 13th &amp; 14th<\/strong> of March.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Post Blackout Days<\/span>:-<\/strong> In the app, you need to enter the no of the days you want to block after the booking date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#1a4e29\">Example: Suppose <strong>product A is booked for 15th March<\/strong> &amp; <strong>Post blackout days is set to 3<\/strong> then, the product will be <strong>unavailable for 16th, 17th &amp; 18th<\/strong> of March.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can configure the blackout days while adding\/editing any rental booking product in the app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1054\" height=\"1001\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/screencapture-prakhar-store1-myshopify-admin-apps-prakhar-booking-app-booking-management-web-en-app-member-booking-products-2020-04-09-12_32_38-1.png\" alt=\"edit boking product\" class=\"wp-image-242072\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/screencapture-prakhar-store1-myshopify-admin-apps-prakhar-booking-app-booking-management-web-en-app-member-booking-products-2020-04-09-12_32_38-1.png 1054w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/screencapture-prakhar-store1-myshopify-admin-apps-prakhar-booking-app-booking-management-web-en-app-member-booking-products-2020-04-09-12_32_38-1-300x285.png 300w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/screencapture-prakhar-store1-myshopify-admin-apps-prakhar-booking-app-booking-management-web-en-app-member-booking-products-2020-04-09-12_32_38-1-250x237.png 250w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/screencapture-prakhar-store1-myshopify-admin-apps-prakhar-booking-app-booking-management-web-en-app-member-booking-products-2020-04-09-12_32_38-1-768x729.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1054px) 100vw, 1054px\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#213c47\"><strong>NOTE:- <\/strong>If you set both pre &amp; post-blackout dates then, the bookings will not be available on the dates based on the overlapping criteria.
