Simply, go to the Accounting Module and then navigate to the Settings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here, you can set the Sales and Purchase Tax in Odoo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"711\" height=\"378\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/AT.png\" alt=\"AT\" class=\"wp-image-240460\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/AT.png 711w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/AT-300x159.png 300w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/AT-250x133.png 250w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 711px) 100vw, 711px\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">General Use Cases<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Some use cases that you may stuck while charging taxes from your customers<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Different customers may have different tax rates for the same product.<\/li><li>Tax rates may be different for countries or in some countries there are tax exemptions<\/li><li>Tax rates may differ by Country Group\/ Country\/ Province(States).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>So in order to set correct taxes for customers\/products Odoo uses the concept of Fiscal Positions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fiscal Positions in Odoo<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>As per fiscal position concept, if customers have fiscal position then actual taxes will be replaced by another one.<br> There have some example to demonstrate use of Fiscal Positions,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Belgian: with 21% VAT (default, on product form)<\/li><li>European: with 0% VAT (intra-EU)<\/li><li>Other countries: 0% (but a different tax since it uses different accounts)<\/li><li> Construction: with 0% VAT, only for construction companies in Belgium<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Configure Fiscal Positions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"has-very-dark-gray-color has-text-color wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Define Fiscal Positions<\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>User can define fiscal position from the Accounting application by going through below path,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAccounting -&gt; Configuration -&gt; Invoicing -&gt; Fiscal Positions\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here you can define fiscal position and prepare &#8216;<strong>Tax Mapping<\/strong>&#8216; inside it as per your requirement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also map income\/expense account mapping inside Account mapping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Automatically Apply Fiscal Positions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want the fiscal position to be automatically applied on orders then you can enable &#8216;<strong>Detect Automatically<\/strong>&#8216; checkbox inside the fiscal position.
