Prestashop Order Carrier Change module helps the admin to fulfil the order on time by adding a functionality to change the carrier. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Apart from this, it also allows admin to update the price of the carrier, weight of the package & tracking number. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Whenever you proceed to change the shipping of the carrier, it becomes necessary to notify your customer about the same. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hence, you can also choose this from the configuration settings, whether you will be sending mails or not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sending a mail on changing a carrier helps you & your customer both. Let’s say you change the shipping of a customer order. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And the price of the new shipping carrier is more than the previous one. Now, in this case, a customer might refuse to pay extra for new shipping & it can be quite an issue. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hence, if you notify your customer about it, then you can easily manage your orders effectively based on the customer response over new shipping charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Note:<\/strong> Prestashop Order Carrier Change\u00a0module is compatible with PrestaShop multi-store feature.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Features of the Prestashop Order Carrier Change module<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Admin can change the shipping carrier of the order from the order details page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
The Admin can update the shipping price of the carrier.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
An Admin can update the weight of the package.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
In unavailability of any shipping carrier, assign another carrier to deliver the order on time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Change the shipping carrier of the order from the order list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Choose to update the shipping price of the carrier from the order list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Also, update the weight of the package from the order list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Choose to update the tracking number of the order from the order list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
View the shipping carrier change history under “shipping’ tab on the order details page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Notify your customers about the change in carrier via mail.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

How to configure the Prestashop Order Carrier Change module<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
In the configuration setting of the module, there is only one option. Here, an admin can choose, whether he\/she wants to notify about change of carrier to the customer or not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The workflow of the module<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
After the successful installation of the module, admin can now change the carrier assigned to any order. Let\u2019s see how. But before that let\u2019s just have a quick overview of the ordering process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While placing an order for a product, a customer needs to select a carrier in order to proceed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
After making the payment, a customer can see that the order is confirmed with the selected shipping carrier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Now, there might be a case when an admin needs to change the shipping carrier of the order. In other words, he\/she finds it difficult to fulfil the order with the carrier selected by the customer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In order to facilitate the process of changing carrier, a new tab \u201cChange Shipping\u201d adds on admin order details page. Here admin can change shipping carrier, it\u2019s price & weight of the package. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
By default, the price shown in the \u201cchange shipping\u201d tab is according to the product added in the order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Select shipping carrier & enter price, weight to update the carrier & its price on the order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
After changing shipping carrier & its price, details will be updated accordingly in \u2018shipping\u2019 tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
When a carrier is changed, an email for the same is sent to customer as well as admin.<\/p>\n\n\n

You can also choose to update the product quantity from the order detail page. This will also trigger the update in shipping price based on the quantity of the product.<\/p>\n\n\n

Now, you can also see the updated price in \u201cChange shipping\u201d tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Order list<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
The functionality to change shipping, price & weight of the package is also available under the order list. If you want to change these, then you can easily do so from the order list itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For that, a new column of Carrier<\/strong> is added to the order list. After clicking on the edit button which is available adjacent to the carrier name, a popup opens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
You get all the options in the popup too i.e. to change shipping carrier, price & weight of the package. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Apart from this, you also get an option to update the tracking number of the shipping too. Fill in the details & click on Update<\/strong> to proceed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Now, under the Shipping<\/strong> tab, you can also view the history of all the changes in shipping carrier, price & weight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
You can also update the tracking number and carrier by clicking on ‘Edit’ button under Carriers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The screenshots given below shows details of carriers \u201cGo Express\u201d & \u201cPrimary mail services\u201d. View the details of the price & weight of the carriers in the screenshots.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
