Moreover, turning it off also hides the Preorder admin menu entry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Preorder Type<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Choose <strong>Partial Payment<\/strong> or <strong>Complete Payment<\/strong>. Partial collects a percentage now, whereas complete collects the full price upfront.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Preorder Percent<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>This field appears only for partial payments. For example, a value of 50 asks the shopper for half the price today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Message<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Write a short line that appears on the product page, the cart and the checkout. Additionally, the message is translatable per locale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Enable Automatic Mail<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>With this on, customers are told the moment their reserved product is back in stock. Otherwise you send that email yourself from the grid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Maximum Preorder Quantity<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>This caps how many units one customer may reserve. However, a per-product limit always wins over this store-wide value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Accept Preorders Until<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Enter a cut-off date in <strong>YYYY-MM-DD<\/strong> format. After that day the Preorder button disappears and normal stock rules apply again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cancel Unpaid Balance After (Days)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The module cancels reservations whose balance stays unpaid for this many days. Consequently, stale reservations never pile up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step-by-Step: Configure Pre-Order<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Log in to the admin panel and open <strong>Configuration<\/strong> from the left menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Preorder &gt; Settings &gt; General<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Turn <strong>Enable PreOrder<\/strong> on.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pick a <strong>Preorder Type<\/strong>, then enter the <strong>Preorder Percent<\/strong> if you chose partial payment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Write the <strong>Message<\/strong> shoppers should see, and enable automatic mail if you want restock emails sent for you.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Optionally set <strong>Maximum Preorder Quantity<\/strong>, <strong>Accept Preorders Until<\/strong> and <strong>Cancel Unpaid Balance After (Days)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Save Configuration<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wk-index-wrap\"><h3 class=\"index-title\">Pre Order &#8211; Product Management<\/h3><\/div><div class=\"margin-bottom-50\">\n<p>The module adds three fields to every simple and configurable product. Therefore bundles and downloadables stay uncluttered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step-by-Step: Make a Product Pre-Orderable<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open <strong>Catalog &gt; Products<\/strong> and edit the product you want to offer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scroll to the <strong>General<\/strong> section.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Switch <strong>Allow Preorder<\/strong> on.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter a <strong>Preorder Qty<\/strong> if this product needs its own per-customer limit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pick the expected <strong>Product Availability<\/strong> date.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set the inventory quantity to zero, because only out-of-stock products can be reserved.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Save Product<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wk-index-wrap\"><h3 class=\"index-title\">Pre Order &#8211; Product Page<\/h3><\/div><div class=\"margin-bottom-50\">\n<p>On the storefront the usual Add To Cart button becomes <strong>Preorder<\/strong>. Two cases are possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Case 1 \u2013 Complete Payment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The customer pays the entire price straight away. Consequently there is no balance left and nothing to chase later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Case 2 \u2013 Partial Payment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The customer pays only the configured percentage.
