{"id":181024,"date":"2019-06-25T10:45:24","date_gmt":"2019-06-25T10:45:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/webkul.com\/blog\/?p=181024"},"modified":"2026-07-28T10:39:31","modified_gmt":"2026-07-28T10:39:31","slug":"laravel-ecommerce-pre-order","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webkul.com\/blog\/laravel-ecommerce-pre-order\/","title":{"rendered":"Laravel eCommerce Pre Order"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/store.webkul.com\/laravel-ecommerce-pre-order.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Laravel eCommerce pre-order module<\/a> comes with very attractive features through which the admin can easily allow their customers\/guest users to pre-order the upcoming and out-of-stock products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The customers can pay in advance either a complete or partial amount of the product&#8217;s price, once the product will be in stock they get their order delivered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note &#8211; <\/strong>Laravel eCommerce Pre Order module is now supported with Bagisto version 2.4.8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wk-index-wrap\"><h3 class=\"index-title\">Features of Laravel eCommerce Pre Order<\/h3><\/div><div class=\"margin-bottom-50\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Buyer can pre-order only out of stock products. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Works with Simple and Configurable products. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set a custom message to display on the Pre-order product page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> Admin can set Pre-order status and availability date. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Using this module customer can pay full or partial payment. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Customers can receive an email notification when a product is in-stock. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Guest users can also use the pre-order feature and place the orders. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Preorder button is also shown on the category and search listing pages, not only on the product page. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The admin can limit how many units of a product a customer is allowed to pre-order. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The shipping cost is charged only once, even when the payment is split into two orders. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Multi-Lingual support\/All language working including RTL. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The code is fully open &amp; you can customize it according to your need.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wk-index-wrap\"><h3 class=\"index-title\">Installation of Laravel eCommerce Pre Order<\/h3><\/div><div class=\"margin-bottom-50\">\n<p>After purchasing the extension the customers will get a <strong>zip folder<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Unzip<\/strong> the respective extension zip and then merge <strong>&#8220;packages&#8221;<\/strong> and <strong>&#8220;public&#8221; <\/strong>folder into project root directory.<br><br>Next,&nbsp;Run these commands below to complete the setup in the bagisto root directory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Goto <strong>bootstrap\/providers.php<\/strong> file now add the following line under &#8216;providers&#8217;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\">Webkul\\PreOrder\\Providers\\PreOrderServiceProvider::class<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Goto <strong>composer.json<\/strong> file inside the Bagisto root directory now add the following line under &#8216;psr-4&#8217;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\">&quot;Webkul\\\\PreOrder\\\\&quot;: &quot;packages\/Webkul\/PreOrder\/src&quot;<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Regenerate the autoloader so the new package is discovered<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\">composer dump-autoload<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Now run the installer. When it is disabled, the Preorders menu, the pre-order product attributes and the storefront Preorder button are all hidden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Preorder Type<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>From the drop-down select how the customers will make the payment for pre-order \u2013&nbsp;Complete Payment or Partial Payment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Preorder Percent<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>(Only available for partial payment)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Set the percentage amount of the product\u2019s price. For e.g If the price of the product is $100 and Preorder Percent is 30 then the customer will need to pay $30 only for pre-order. The value must be between 0.01 and 99.9.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Message <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The admin has an option to display a small message (up to 150 characters) on the pre-order product page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Enable Automatic Mail<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When enabled by the admin, the in-stock notification email is sent to the pre-order customers automatically as soon as the product is back in stock, so the admin does not have to notify them from the Preorders grid. When it is disabled, the admin sends the same email manually using the <strong>Notify Customer<\/strong> mass action.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wk-index-wrap\"><h3 class=\"index-title\">Pre Order &#8211; Admin Management<\/h3><\/div><div class=\"margin-bottom-50\">\n<p>On the admin dashboard, click the <strong>Preorders<\/strong> icon which is there on the left-hand side to check on the features available in the backend for admin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1120\" height=\"880\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/webkul-bagisto-pre-order-admin-management.webp\" alt=\"webkul pre-order admin management \" class=\"wp-image-477755\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/webkul-bagisto-pre-order-admin-management.webp 1120w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/webkul-bagisto-pre-order-admin-management-300x236.webp 300w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/webkul-bagisto-pre-order-admin-management-250x196.webp 250w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/webkul-bagisto-pre-order-admin-management-768x603.webp 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1120px) 100vw, 1120px\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Now the admin can easily check all the pre-orders received with the Id, Order Id, Payment Order Id, Product Name, Customer Name and Customer Email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They also get to see the Paid Amount, Remaining, Preorder Type, Status and Email Sent information. The Order Id and the Payment Order Id are clickable and open the respective sales order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Every pre-order moves through the <strong>Pending<\/strong> \u279c <strong>Processing<\/strong> \u279c <strong>Completed<\/strong> statuses, and turns <strong>Canceled<\/strong> if the order is canceled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Notify Customers Manually<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>When the product will be in stock the admin can also easily notify the customer by sending them an email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By selecting the pre-orders from the below list and choosing the <strong>Notify Customer<\/strong> mass action, the admin can easily notify the customers about the product availability<strong>. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The admin can also send the email to many customers at once by filtering the grid and selecting the required rows. Leave it empty for no limit.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Product Availability \u2013&nbsp;<\/strong>Select the date of&nbsp;<strong>Product Availability<\/strong>. It is displayed on the product page as long as the date is in the future.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please Note<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 These three attributes are visible only while the module is enabled from the configuration.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wk-index-wrap\"><h3 class=\"index-title\">Pre Order &#8211; Product Page<\/h3><\/div><div class=\"margin-bottom-50\">\n<p>At the pre-order product page the customer will also see the various information about the pre-order :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Partial Payment Info<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preorder Message<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Product Availability Date<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pre Order button<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Preorder button replaces the Add To Cart button only when the product is out of stock and Allow Preorder is enabled for it. Once the product comes back in stock, the customer will receive an email notification.
