Thus, we came up with the same thought of developing a similar feature app named <strong>Multi-inventory Location<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If You have multiple Warehouses at different locations then, this feature app is for You!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this feature app, both merchant and seller can track inventory on multiple locations and manage orders accordingly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The merchant first needs to &#8220;<strong>Enable Inventory at Locations<\/strong>&#8221; and add various&nbsp;locations&nbsp;from store backend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After that, the merchant will set a fulfillment priority to any of the added locations where he wants to fulfill the order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you enable the multi-inventory option on admin end, both you and your seller will get the option to track the product inventory on the selected location while adding a new product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wk-index-wrap\"><h3 class=\"index-title\"><\/h3><\/div><div class=\"margin-bottom-50\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Admin can track&nbsp;inventory on multiple locations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Allow sellers to track the product\u2019s inventory on selected location and manage orders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Both admin &amp; seller will have the details about the number of products available at each location.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Admin can sync the location details of the admin\u2019s store with the multivendor app.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The seller can update the inventory location from where the order gets fulfilled.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Admin can set a fixed default Inventory Location for each Seller separately.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/webkul.com\/blog\/multi-vendor-marketplace-for-shopify-multilocation-inventorystore-pickup\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer add various&nbsp;locations&nbsp;from store backend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"461\" Feature App section of the Multivendor App and activate the feature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" feature app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NOTE:- We don\u2019t manage the inventory tracking in case the Custom Fulfillment set on Your Store.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wk-index-wrap\"><h3 class=\"index-title\">Workflow<\/h3><\/div><div class=\"margin-bottom-50\">\n<p><strong>ADMIN END<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to track the inventory on multiple locations, the admin will add various locations from store backend. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to it, you can set a fulfillment priority to any of the added locations where you want the orders to be assigned first for the \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Coming to the Multivendor App\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As soon as you enable the feature apps, a new menu gets added to the&nbsp;<strong>Configuration<\/strong>&nbsp;menu of the app i.e.&nbsp;<strong>Multilocation Configuration<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/multilocationtwo.webp\" alt=\"multi vendor marketplace\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Here, the admin will get the option to enable the Multilocation feature for the sellers so that sellers can manage product inventory as per the location preferences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/multilocationthree.webp\" alt=\"multilocation configuration\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Change Status:- Firstly, you need to enable the Multi-location status for the sellers. Later, if you disable this tab, all the seller\u2019s default location will be disabled with this action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Add Shopify Location<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, you need to add the locations in your shopify and those locations can be synced with the app. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In case you choose this location type, your product inventory will get transferred to the primary location added from the Shopify end (Shopify Settings&gt;Locations&gt;Add Location).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1286\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/JohnDoe2-_-Locations-_-Shopify-1.png\" alt=\"multi vendor marketplace\" class=\"wp-image-193180\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/JohnDoe2-_-Locations-_-Shopify-1.png 1286w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/JohnDoe2-_-Locations-_-Shopify-1.png 250w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/JohnDoe2-_-Locations-_-Shopify-1.png 300w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/JohnDoe2-_-Locations-_-Shopify-1.png 768w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/JohnDoe2-_-Locations-_-Shopify-1.png 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1286px) 100vw, 1286px\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wk-index-wrap\"><div class=\"block-wrap\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading index-title\"><strong>Multi-location Inventory<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, you can view all the added inventory locations in the&nbsp;<strong>Multi-location Inventory<\/strong>&nbsp;section of the app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/multilocationfour.webp\" alt=\"multi vendor marketplace\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/shopify.dev\/docs\">Multi-location Inventory<\/a><\/span> section, you can view the list of all the added locations. Also, you can sync the Shopify locations to the app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NOTE: You can\u2019t disable the default inventory location from the app.<br>Also, once<\/strong> any location is disabled from the app, the same location will still be available on the <strong>admin\u2019s Store.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the admin has disabled any location from their end, the seller will not be able to add that location for tracking the inventory of any product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, you will get an option to enable the inventory location&nbsp;feature for your sellers registered on the marketplace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your sellers will get the multi-location inventory feature on their respective panels only when you enable the tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/multilocationfive.webp\" alt=\"sync shopify location\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong>:- You can\u2019t delete the primary location.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, while adding new products, you will get all the locations to manage product inventory.<br>Products&gt;&gt;Product Listing&gt;&gt;Add product&gt;&gt;Quantity&gt;&gt;Edit Locations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/multilocationsix.webp\" alt=\"Add-Product-_-Admin\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>So, let\u2019s proceed to check how sellers will manage the locations &amp; provide a store pickup option to the selected location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Select Location while adding a Product:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This multi-location inventory feature helps the admin to select the location where he\/she wants to stock the products. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This option appears when the admin adds to track the product\u2019s inventory while adding any product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Admin Panel of Multivendor App&gt;&gt;Products&gt;&gt;Product Listing&gt;&gt;Add Product&gt;&gt;Track Inventory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/multilocationseven.webp\" alt=\"tracking\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wk-index-wrap\"><h3 class=\"index-title\">Default Location for Sellers<\/h3><\/div><div class=\"margin-bottom-50\">\n<p>Now, the admin can&nbsp;<strong>set<\/strong> the \u201cDefault Inventory Location\u201d&nbsp;for the sellers from the \u201cEdit Seller\u201d section of the app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Go to Multivendor&nbsp;<strong>Admin<\/strong>&nbsp;Panel&gt;&gt;Go to&nbsp;<strong>Sellers<\/strong>&gt;&gt;<strong>Seller Listing<\/strong>&gt;&gt;Click \u201c<strong>Edit<\/strong>\u201d in Action menu&gt;&gt;Scroll down to get the&nbsp;<strong>Seller Default Location section<\/strong>&nbsp;in the bottom-right corner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/multilocationeight.webp\" alt=\"edit seller\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Get the&nbsp;<strong>SELLER DEFAULT LOCATION<\/strong>&nbsp;section:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Admin first needs to enable the Tab to make the Multilocation feature work for the sellers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once You enable the Multilocation Tab, You need to select a default inventory location that You have added on Your Store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/multilocationnine.webp\" alt=\"set seller's default location\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Clicking on the \u201cSave Location\u201d button, You will be asked to choose an option for the confirmation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can either select<strong>&nbsp;Transfer Inventory to the Selected Location<\/strong>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<strong>Delete Inventory&nbsp;<\/strong>Option<strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Transfer Inventory to the Selected Location:&nbsp;<\/strong>This option will transfer the seller\u2019s inventory to the selected location for all the Products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Delete Inventory:<\/strong>&nbsp;This option will delete the inventory of the seller\u2019s products available in the locations other than the selected location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"603\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/transferinventory-1200x603.webp\" alt=\"transfer inventory\" class=\"wp-image-551306\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/transferinventory-1200x603.webp 1200w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/transferinventory-300x151.webp 300w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/transferinventory-250x126.webp 250w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/transferinventory-768x386.webp 768w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/transferinventory-1536x772.webp 1536w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/transferinventory.webp 1844w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Once selected, click on the Save Location button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NOTE:<\/strong>&nbsp;Once you disable the Multilocation Tab, the default location will be disabled for the seller<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, Once You deactivate the Default Location from Your Store, you need to sync the products manually in the app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/multilocationten.webp\" alt=\"multilocation\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Admin can also select the Priority location for his\/her sellers from the Action menu.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wk-index-wrap\"><h3 class=\"index-title\">Seller Panel<\/h3><\/div><div class=\"margin-bottom-50\">\n<p>Similarly, from their respective panels, Sellers can enable the inventory location where he\/she wants to stock the products.
