Authenticating a user is beneficial because it helps check if the user is real and has entered the correct details. Also, OTP validation helps in other ways, like login.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Odoo Website OTP Authentication adds One Time Password (OTP) to your Odoo website. It allows customers to sign in using a password or an OTP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The OTP is sent to the user’s registered email address. Moreover, the Odoo app provides a two-layered security to the customers\u2019 accounts to secure the accounts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Odoo app further enables OTP authentication from the Odoo backend. Customers can create an account after verifying the email address through OTP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    INSTALLATION<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    1. Once you purchase the App from Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- \u2018otp_auth\u2019.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. Then, open the Apps menu and click on \u2018Update Modules List.\u2019<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    6. In the search bar, remove all the filters and search \u2018otp_auth\u2019.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    7. You will be able to see the module in the search results. Click on \u2018Install\u2019 to install it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      CONFIGURATION AT ODOO END<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      1. Go to the \u2018Settings> Webkul Website Addons,\u2019 locate \u2018OTP Authentication,\u2019 and click \u2018Configuration.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      2. Enable required authentication (Sign-in and Sign-up). Also, configure the \u2018OTP Limit, time limit, and OTP Type (text or number) in the popup form.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      5. To create an account, add the details and click the \u2018Send OTP\u2019 option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      6. After that, you can see a timer and messages about shared OTP in your email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
