We have added a new Directory Listing<\/strong> feature to the Multivendor Marketplace<\/a> App for Shopify. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Purpose of the feature<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you want your customers to get redirected to a separate URL after clicking on the Buy Now<\/strong> button, then this feature will help you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enabling this feature will replace the Add to Cart<\/strong> button with a Buy Now<\/strong> button that will redirect customers to the desired URL. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The URL can be your seller’s website or any other page where you want your customers to complete the checkout process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note:<\/strong> Each product can have a separate redirecting URL. Also, this feature can only be applicable to normal products, i.e., will not work for digital products or any other kind of product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Configuration<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The admin needs to configure the following feature by visiting:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Multivendor Marketplace Admin Panel<\/strong> > Configuration<\/strong> > Products Configuration<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On this page, you’ll have the option to enable this feature. Refer:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enable this feature & enter the button name. Save the changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once done, you’ll need to add a code to the product template of your store’s theme. The code is available in the note section below the directory listing button (refer to the image provided above). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instructions<\/strong>: Copy the below-given code & paste it in the ‘product.liquid<\/strong>‘ or ‘product-template.liquid<\/strong>‘ file. The code needs to be added just above the Add to Cart<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to find product template files?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
You can edit the code for your theme:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store<\/strong> > Themes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Click Actions<\/strong> > Edit code<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Further, search for ‘product.liquid<\/strong>‘ template & paste the code.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Seller Panel<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
    Both admin and seller can add a directory listing product by following these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
    Visit Multivendor Marketplace Admin\/Seller Panel <\/strong>> Products<\/strong> > Product Listing<\/strong> > Add Product<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
    <\/p>\n\n\n\n
    (Instructions are shown with seller panel images whereas, the method to add a directory listing product is the same for admin as well.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    On the add product form, choose the product as Directory Listing Product<\/strong>. Further, on the right side, you’ll have a section to enter directory listing details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Here, enter the URL of the webpage to which you want to redirect your customers to make the purchase of this particular product. Save the changes once done!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Frontend<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
    The product will have a directory listing button<\/strong> instead of a normal Add to Cart<\/strong> button<\/strong>. Clicking on the button, the customers will be redirected to the configured URL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
    Example: For the product below, we have added the Webkul Blog link to the Buy Now button. Try it yourself!<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
