It is regarded as the central system of any educational institution, whether it is small or large, colleges or universities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A transparent web-based library management system offers students, librarians, and faculty members full accuracy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are few problems caused by library mismanagement, it creates difficulty in searching book titles, borrowing books from the library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mismanagement creates difficulties in computing penalties and creating an accurate report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Library Management System in Odoo, an integral part of <a href=\"https:\/\/store.webkul.com\/odoo-education-management-system.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Odoo School Management<\/a>, handles standard administrative tasks while supporting academic freedom and outreach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It Provides you with an organized book management system, manages library members, issues books, and receives them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An appropriate computerized book management system will make any library more functional. Automating your daily process would make you more productive and more successful. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have therefore launched a module Odoo Library Management System which eliminates the manual process involved and simplifies the way books are published, saving time and efforts. &nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">FEATURES<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The library management framework offers an easy way to use the interface. Easy, transparent search users for all user interfaces.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Library Management Program offers an improved check for books from a customer viewpoint, handles library members, issues books and receives them. A quick way to log in and out.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Also, include the features of measuring the penalty and maintaining the account information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Library Management system is an improved program designed to handle books, Authors, Publishers, Issuing and receiving books.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Full system for handling library stock listings, distributions, and transactions. Checking who has what things, and when they are due.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">INSTALLATION<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Once you purchase the App from the Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- \u2018<strong>wk_library_management<\/strong>\u2019.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo <strong>Add-Ons<\/strong> path.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on <strong>Activate the Developer Mode<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then, open on the Apps menu and click on the \u2018<strong>Update Modules List<\/strong>\u2019.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the search bar, remove all the filters and search \u2018<strong>wk_library_management<\/strong>\u2019.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on \u2018<strong>Install<\/strong>\u2019 to install it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">WORKFLOW<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Create a new Book Entry:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>1) Firstly login to the Odoo database to go to the \u2018<strong>Library Management<\/strong>\u2019 module.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/image-52.png\" alt=\"Navigate to library management system in Odoo\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>2) In the Library Management module go to \u2018<strong>Books<\/strong>\u2019. You can create new books and edit books that are already created. Click on the \u2018<strong>Create<\/strong>\u2019 button to create new books.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/image-53-1200x297.png\" alt=\"Create Books for library management system in Odoo\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>3) Add the \u2018<strong>Book name<\/strong>\u2019, \u2018<strong>Book image<\/strong>\u2019, \u2018<strong>Book category\u2019<\/strong>, and other details while creating the book. Click on the \u2018Save\u2019 button to save the book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/image-54-1200x612.png\" alt=\"Adding details to create book\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Assign Book Stock:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>4)&nbsp;Once you have created the book you need to add the stock available for the book. To update stock for the new book go to Stock&gt;&gt; Book Stock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/image-55-1200x364.png\" alt=\"Assign book stock\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>5) Click on the \u2018<strong>Create<\/strong>\u2019 button to create stock for the book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/image-56.png\" alt=\"Create book stock\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>6) Add the \u2018<strong>Book name<\/strong>\u2019, \u2018<strong>Type<\/strong>\u2019, and \u2018<strong>Quantity<\/strong>\u2019 to create the stock for the book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/image-57-1200x441.png\" alt=\"Add details to create book stock\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>7) Click on the \u2018<strong>Save<\/strong>\u2019 button to save the book stock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/image-58-1200x418.png\" alt=\"Save the book in stock\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>8) After saving the book stock click on the \u2018<strong>Confirm<\/strong>\u2019 button to confirm the book stock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/image-59-1200x468.png\" alt=\"Confirm the book in stock\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>9)&nbsp;After confirming the book stock, click on the \u2018<strong>Approve\u2019<\/strong> button to approve the book stock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/image-60-1200x435.png\" alt=\"Approve book in stock\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>10) Once the book stock is approved, click on the \u2018<strong>Done<\/strong>\u2019 button to add the book in stock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/image-61-1200x454.png\" alt=\"Done to add book in stock\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>11)&nbsp;As soon as you add book stock you will be able to see the book stock when you open the book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/image-62.png\" alt=\"Inventory of book in stock\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Issue Book in Stock:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>12) Once the stock is visible in the inventory section of books the books can be issued. Click on the \u2018<strong>Issue<\/strong>\u2019 button to issue the book in stock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/image-64.png\" alt=\"Issue book in stock in Library management system in Odoo\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>13) You will get a pop-up once you click on the <strong>\u2018Issue\u2019<\/strong> button. This says that your request to issue the book in stock has been sent to the librarian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/image-65-1200x355.png\" alt=\"Pop up will appear after issue request\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Request to add new Book:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>14)&nbsp;In the \u2018<strong>Book Request<\/strong>\u2019 tab, the librarian will be able to see all the requests for new books, and the librarian can accept or reject the book request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/image-66-1200x394.png\" alt=\"Request for new book in library management system in Odoo\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The librarian can check the requested books from the books and add the book if the book is not in stock. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the book is added in stock a mail will be sent to the user regarding adding the book in stock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/image-67-1200x460.png\" alt=\"Following actions can be performed after a book is requested\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The librarian can accept the request to add the book by clicking on the button \u2018<strong>Done<\/strong>\u2019 whereas to reject the request to add the book click on the button \u2018<strong>Reject<\/strong>\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Available Book Stock:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>15) You can check the available books in the stock in <strong>\u2018Book copy\u2019<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/image-68-1200x365.png\" alt=\"Book copy available in library management system in Odoo\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>16) The status of the book will be visible in the \u2018<strong>Register\u2019<\/strong> tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/image-69-1200x331.png\" alt=\"Book status in register tab\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Return Policy:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>17) You can create a <strong>\u2018Return policy\u2019<\/strong> by clicking on Configuration&gt;&gt; Library Configuration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/image-70.png\" alt=\"Library Configuration in library management system in Odoo\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>18)&nbsp;Click on the \u2018<strong>Create<\/strong>\u2019 button to create a new Configuration for Return Policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/image-71.png\" alt=\"Create new return policy\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">&nbsp;Create New Category:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>19) To create a new Category go to Configuration &gt;&gt; Category.
