{"id":107202,"date":"2018-01-03T15:02:57","date_gmt":"2018-01-03T15:02:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/webkul.com\/blog\/?p=107202"},"modified":"2025-02-26T11:08:49","modified_gmt":"2025-02-26T11:08:49","slug":"opencart-marketplace-vendor-sub-account","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webkul.com\/blog\/opencart-marketplace-vendor-sub-account\/","title":{"rendered":"OpenCart Marketplace Vendor Sub Account"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Opencart Marketplace Vendor Sub Account\u00a0<\/span>allows the marketplace sellers to create multiple sub-accounts for themselves along with selecting the various allowed account options for the sub-account users.<\/p>\n<p>These account option permissions help\u00a0the vendor to divide the roles and responsibilities with the other sub-account users.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Example<\/strong>:\u00a0 A vendor might add a user to view the orders and add products only while the other can only manage the seller&#8217;s profile.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">**Note<\/span><strong>:\u00a0<\/strong>This extension is an add-on to the <strong>Webkul&#8217;s Multi-Vendor module<\/strong>. To use this module you must have first installed the Webkul&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/store.webkul.com\/OpenCart-MarketPlace.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Opencart Multi-Vendor Marketplace<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. This module supports all templates and themes including the Journal theme.<\/p>\n<p>2. Please check this <a href=\"http:\/\/webkul.com\/blog\/opencart-language-installation-and-translation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">language translation\u00a0<\/span><\/a>link.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"panel panel-primary\">\n<div class=\"panel-heading\">\n<div>\n<h3 class=\"panel-title\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Installation<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"panel-body\">\n<div>\n<p>Extract the contents of the received zip folder on your system according to your Opencart version. The extracted folder has<strong> admin<\/strong>, <strong>catalog<\/strong> and <strong>ocmod<\/strong> folders. Now, upload both the <strong>admin<\/strong> and <strong>catalog<\/strong> directories into the Opencart root directory as shown below in the snapshot.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Module-Intallation-1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Module-Intallation-1.png\" alt=\"Module Installation OpenCart Marketplace Vendor Sub Account\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Once you have uploaded the folders, login to admin and then from the catalog section go to <strong>Extensions<\/strong>&gt; <strong>Extension Installer<\/strong> and upload the <strong>XML<\/strong> file. The XML file can be found on <strong>ocmod<\/strong> folder under module directory. In ocmod folder, select the Opencart version that you are using and under it you will find <strong>mp_sub_seller.ocmod.xml <\/strong>file.<br \/>\n<a choose to select all for both <strong>Access<\/strong> and <strong>Modify Permission<\/strong> for the permission that you want to provide and <strong>save<\/strong> it.<br \/>\n<a configure the module for use by \u2013<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Enabling<\/strong> the module for use.<\/li>\n<li>Selecting the <strong>Store<\/strong> for which you want to create the seller sub-account.<\/li>\n<li>Set the <strong>limit<\/strong> of sub-sellers that a seller can create.<\/li>\n<li>Set the <strong>mail<\/strong> to be sent when a sub-seller is created.<\/li>\n<li>Choose the <strong>permissions<\/strong> that you want to give to the sellers that can then be assigned to the sub-sellers.<\/li>\n<li>Lastly, click the <strong>Save<\/strong> button to save the configuration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>How To Configure a Mail?<\/h3>\n<p>The mails are also configured by admin panel, for this you need to navigate through <strong>Marketplace&gt;Mail.<\/strong>The admin configuration of the module, the seller will have the <strong>Manage Sub-Sellers Account <\/strong>menu option under their account panel as shown below in the snapshot.<br \/>\n<a the seller is redirected to <strong>add Sub Accounts page<\/strong> that displays the <strong>sub-account user list<\/strong>. Here, the seller can add\/delete\/update the sub-users as per need.
