Webkul validated data, modules and business flows along the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sureguard supplied its custom module source. Webkul picked what to migrate by the work each module did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Which Custom Modules Moved in the Odoo 8 to Odoo 17 Migration?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Only the modules the business still needed made the trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Webkul reviewed the WillowIT modules and moved what the business relied on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sureguard dropped obsolete modules, and standard Odoo 17 features took over where they already did the job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It adapted the Sureguard-specific modules from Odoo 8 to Odoo 17 in the same way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Data migration ran alongside, so required business data stayed with the modules that use it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Claims Module Migration<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Customer claims are handled inside Odoo, so that process had to survive the move.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Webkul moved the Claims module from Odoo 8 to Odoo 17 and kept the claims process in place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Later on, the team fixed problems with the emails the Claims module sends and checked how Odoo delivers them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Loyalty Programme Setup<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Sureguard bought Webkul&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/store.webkul.com\/Odoo-Website-Loyalty-Management.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Odoo Website Loyalty Management<\/a> module for its store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No old loyalty data existed, so the programme started fresh on Odoo 17, where loyalty is a standard feature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, the client asked that opening points match each customer&#8217;s buying history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Webkul prepared the setup to take those starting balances from past sales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Afterpay Payments on the Website<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Sureguard chose Afterpay as an online payment method.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Webkul configured the <a href=\"https:\/\/store.webkul.com\/odoo-website-afterpay-payment-acquirer.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Afterpay payment acquirer<\/a> for the Odoo 17 website once the client bought it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zip was also on the table, so Webkul read its API documentation and estimated a custom Zip payment acquirer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Online Quotation Payment and Quote Pages<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Fence systems sell through online quotes, so the payment step after a quote matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now a card payment made after a customer accepts a quotation lands correctly in Odoo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Webkul customized the online quote page too and took the approved changes live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1440\" height=\"1000\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/sureguard-quotation.webp\" alt=\"Sureguard online quotation page for selecting an electronic barrier type\" class=\"wp-image-559625\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/sureguard-quotation.webp 1440w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/sureguard-quotation-300x208.webp 300w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/sureguard-quotation-1200x833.webp 1200w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/sureguard-quotation-250x174.webp 250w, https:\/\/cdnblog.webkul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/sureguard-quotation-768x533.webp 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1440px) 100vw, 1440px\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Website Fixes and Custom Features<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Smaller changes to the shop came with the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Public reviews now work for one required product, and other products keep the existing review flow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Webkul also fixed display and behaviour problems in the shop carousel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Country of Origin details now show for public visitors and on mobile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tracking code sits in the site head and just after the opening body tag.
