an Odoo 19 Migration<\/h2>\n<p>Renel Auto ran its stock, sales and counter on Odoo 15, which kept slipping further behind current Odoo.<\/p>\n<p>Its shop front is PrestaShop, so both systems talk through a bridge rather than sharing one database.<\/p>\n<p>Years of project work had settled on top of the standard build, and none of it moves by itself.<\/p>\n<p>A version jump changes the framework those customisations are written against, so each one has to be reworked.<\/p>\n<p>Part records, stock figures, customers and order history all had to land whole on the other side.<\/p>\n<p>Losing the link to the storefront was the bigger risk, since orders and stock cross it every day.<\/p>\n<p>Lifting a shaped, connected setup onto a new release without changing how the shop works was the real job.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How Webkul Handled the Odoo 19 Migration for Renel Auto<\/h2>\n<p>Webkul moved the whole Renel Auto environment from Odoo 15 to Odoo 19 in one project.<\/p>\n<p>Code, data and integrations went across together, and the team checked each part against the new release first.<\/p>\n<p>Webkul has run the same move for an American custom modules.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Moves Across in an Odoo 19 Migration?<\/h3>\n<p>Three things move: the business data, the customisations sitting on top of Odoo, and the integrations.<\/p>\n<p>Data migration ran first, moving the Odoo 15 records into Odoo 19 for validation against the source.<\/p>\n<p>Every customisation was reviewed, adapted to Odoo 19 and tested href=\"https:\/\/webkul.com\/prestashop-development\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PrestaShop<\/a> storefront while Odoo holds the stock and the orders.<\/p>\n<p>That bridge was already running on Odoo 15, so it had to keep running on Odoo 19.<\/p>\n<p>Webkul carried the integration across with the rest of the move, then tested the sync once Odoo 19 was up.<\/p>\n<p>Catalogue like.<\/p>\n<p>Renel handles chrome trim, badges, seals and switches that read almost the same on paper.<\/p>\n<p>So Webkul added the <a href=\"https:\/\/store.webkul.com\/Odoo-Product-Images-In-Order-Lines.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">product image to each Odoo sales order line<\/a>, and to the delivery slip as well.<\/p>\n<p>Staff picking an order now see the part next to the reference instead of matching codes by eye.<\/p>\n<p>That image travels onto the paperwork, so whoever packs the box has the same check.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reading Stock Locations from the Odoo POS Product Card<\/h3>\n<p>The counter runs on <a href=\"https:\/\/webkul.com\/odoo-pos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Odoo POS<\/a>, where a product card leaves the seller little room for a name.<\/p>\n<p>Classic car parts carry long descriptions, because the model, the year and the variant all sit in the name.<\/p>\n<p>Widening the POS product card let those longer names and descriptions show in full.<\/p>\n<p>Two warehouse fields also went into the Product Information popup: the output location and the storage category.<\/p>\n<p>Sellers can now read where a part sits without leaving the sale or asking the warehouse.<\/p>\n<p>For a shop working off old stock and salvage shelves, that is the difference between a quick sale and a hunt.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Results of the Odoo 19 Migration for Renel Auto<\/h2>\n<p>Renel Auto now runs its parts business on Odoo 19, with its data, its custom work and its storefront link intact.<\/p>\n<p>Nothing changed in how the shop sells while the platform underneath it moved forward.<\/p>\n<p>Their PrestaShop store still syncs with Odoo, so online orders and stock stay on the same footing as before.<\/p>\n<p>Both counter and warehouse changes came out of daily practice rather than the upgrade itself.<\/p>\n<p>Picking and packing lean on the product image, and the counter reads stock locations straight from the POS.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Moved the full Odoo 15 environment
