Ten custom modules sat on top of stock Odoo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They covered product tabs, returns, payments, SEO URLs, country rules and order flows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>None of that carries over on its own, since a version jump changes the framework those modules are written against.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Product records, buyer accounts and order history had to survive the move whole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So the real job was keeping a heavily shaped shop working just as before, on a new Odoo release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How Webkul Handled the Odoo 19 Migration for OVIS Online<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Webkul moved the whole OVIS Online setup from Odoo 16 to Odoo 19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Data and custom work went across together. Work began with a review of what the shop ran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>OVIS leaned on a mix of Webkul modules and project <a href=\"https:\/\/webkul.com\/odoo-customization\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Odoo customization<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Happens to Custom Modules in an Odoo 19 Migration?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Each custom module gets checked against the new release before anything moves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Webkul went through the ten modules running on Odoo 16 and confirmed what each one did for OVIS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Four of them handle custom product tabs, general product tabs, RMA and SEO URL redirects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Country rules, Braintree payments and Braintree refunds account for three more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Webkul website addons, shop changes, and sales order and purchase order work close out the list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That review set the order of the move and settled what had to carry forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Data Migration from Odoo 16 to Odoo 19<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Alongside the code, Webkul handled the data migration into the Odoo 19 database.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Product records, groups, buyer accounts and order history all had to land whole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since OVIS trades on a long list of part numbers, nothing in the live catalogue was rebuilt by hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure buyers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SEO URL Redirects and Country Rules<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>OVIS product pages still answer on legacy .aspx style web addresses.Those came from the site the firm ran years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Odoo 19, Webkul kept the <a href=\"https:\/\/store.webkul.com\/Odoo-SEO-URL-Redirect-Rewrite.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SEO URL redirect and rewrite<\/a> handling in place.
