Since its establishment in 2011, Miroytengo has steadily expanded its presence in the furniture e-commerce market, growing its product portfolio to more than 2,700 products and extending its reach across multiple European markets, including Portugal, France, Italy, and Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The store offers flexible payment, delivery, customer support, and Click & Collect options for a convenient shopping experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One such service is product warranty protection. For an online furniture retailer like Miroytengo, offering flexible warranty options can provide customers with additional protection while creating an opportunity to enhance the overall value of the purchase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PrestaShop Warranty Management<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The PrestaShop Warranty Management<\/strong> <\/a>module enables online merchants to offer warranty services to customers for their products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The module supports multiple warranty types, including General Warranty, Extended Warranty, and Manual Warranty. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Administrators can configure warranty periods, manage warranty products, send warranty-related email notifications, generate warranty cards, and manage warranty information from the PrestaShop back office. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The warranty supports both fixed and percentage-based pricing, while the system automatically recalculates the charge as customers add or remove products from their cart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, the client needed greater control over percentage-based warranty pricing by introducing an admin-defined minimum charge. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This ensures the warranty charge never falls below the specified minimum while clearly displaying the minimum charge at checkout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Solution: Customized Cart-Based Warranty Management<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Introducing Cart-Based Warranty<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Webkul enhanced the existing Warranty Management module to allow Miroytengo to offer warranties based on the entire cart value<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Administrators can configure the warranty as either a fixed amount or a percentage of the cart value, while customers can add the warranty directly from the cart page. The system automatically updates the warranty price as customers add or remove products from the cart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adding a Minimum Warranty Charge<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

To provide greater control over percentage-based warranties, Webkul further introduced an admin-configurable minimum warranty amount<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the calculated percentage falls below the configured minimum, the minimum amount is charged instead. The applicable minimum is also displayed alongside the percentage, helping customers understand the warranty pricing before checkout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
