With such a wide and fast-growing catalog, Motostion needed a smarter way to help customers find the right product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The global e-commerce market for automotive and motorcycle parts stood at USD 279.27 billion<\/a> in 2025. It may reach USD 745.90 billion by 2034.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spain’s e-commerce sector hit \u20ac114.80 billion<\/a> in 2025, up 20.6% year-on-year, with auto and moto parts among the fastest-growing categories. Spain also registered 768,892 motorcycles<\/a> in 2025, and used bikes made up 65.5% of that total.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Problems Faced by the Client<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Motostion runs a large catalog of more than 200,000 products, each with multiple images, making manual searching difficult.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The default one-word keywords generated by the Image Search module often returned results that were too generic or unrelated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Motostion also uses a third-party JoliSearch engine, and keyword mismatches broke compatibility with the image search results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Large tag comparisons slowed searches, and naming inconsistencies, like “trasero” versus “trasera,” caused mismatched results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Solution Provided by Webkul<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Webkul recommended the PrestaShop Image Search<\/a> module, allowing customers to upload an image to find matching products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The camera icon was repositioned into the search bar, and search results were redirected to work correctly with Motostion’s JoliSearch engine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our team customized keyword generation to return three to four relevant words instead of one generic term. We also added a “Tag & Alias” preference so searches fall back to Motostion’s own product tags.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
