To further improve the purchasing experience, IndustrialZone sought enhancements to its Authorize.Net payment gateway integration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PrestaShop Authorize.Net Payment Gateway<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The PrestaShop Authorize.Net Payment<\/a> Gateway module allows store owners to integrate the Authorize.Net payment gateway with their PrestaShop store and accept online payments securely. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The module enables customers to make payments using credit and debit cards through Authorize.Net while ensuring a smooth payment experience during checkout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The module also allows store administrators to view transaction details and manage payment-related operations directly from the PrestaShop back office. Additionally, merchants can process full and partial refunds for Authorize.Net transactions without leaving their store administration panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IndustrialZone uses the PrestaShop Authorize.Net Payment Gateway module to securely accept customer payments and manage transactions on its PrestaShop store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Challenges Faced by the Client<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

While the module was effectively handling payment processing, IndustrialZone wanted to further streamline its payment management workflow and improve transaction visibility for its admin team. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To enhance operational efficiency and provide greater transparency during payment review and refund management, they required two additional features within their existing Authorize.Net integration:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. No Direct Refund Capability on the Order Page<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

When an admin needed to process a refund for an Authorize.Net transaction, they were forced to leave the order details page and navigate separately to the transaction management section. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This added unnecessary steps to an already sensitive workflow, increasing the risk of error and consuming admin time, particularly problematic for a B2B store processing high-value industrial orders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. No Visibility into AVS Fraud Verification Data<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Authorize.Net performs AVS checks to verify a cardholder’s billing address and card code against the issuer’s records, helping prevent fraudulent transactions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, this important verification data was not available within the PrestaShop order interface for admin review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Solution: PrestaShop Authorize.Net Custom Enhancements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Webkul’s PrestaShop development team designed and delivered two targeted customizations to the existing Authorize.Net Payment Gateway module to address the client’s issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The admin can also manage and update the order status directly from the refund section while processing a refund, eliminating the need to navigate to a separate screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Webkul enhanced the module by adding a dedicated Refund Transaction section on the PrestaShop order page, allowing administrators to view transaction details and process full or partial refunds directly from the order without navigating to a separate section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The admin can also manage and update the order status directly from the refund section while processing a refund, eliminating the need to navigate to a separate screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AVS and Payment Verification Information Display<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Webkul extended the refund section to surface Authorize.Net’s AVS (Address Verification System) response data directly within the order page. For each Authorize.Net transaction, admins can now see:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
