And experiences, as their customers know well, make the most thoughtful gifts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thus making the brand&#8217;s identity strongly rooted in expertise, trust, and customer well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this case study, we will analyze how Estetica Mayka utilized the <a href=\"https:\/\/store.webkul.com\/Prestashop-Gift-Card.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a>PrestaShop Gift Card module and <a href=\"https:\/\/webkul.com\/prestashop-development\/\">PrestaShop Development service<\/a> to improve the shopping experience and introduce a complete gift-purchasing capability for their customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Beauty &amp; Wellness Market in Spain<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Spain\u2019s beauty and personal care market is growing steadily, driven by rising demand for wellness treatments, skincare, and aesthetic services. The market grows from approximately <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/outlook\/cmo\/beauty-personal-care\/spain\">USD 8.2 billion in 2025 to USD 9.4 billion <\/a>in 2026<\/strong>, as consumers increase spending on self-care and professional beauty services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The European beauty and personal care industry continues to expand at a <strong>CAGR of around 4\u20135% from 2024 to 2028<\/strong>, supported by strong demand for premium, personalized, and experience-driven offerings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time, experience-based gifting is reshaping customer behaviour, with more people choosing services like facials, body rituals, and massages over physical products, especially for occasions like birthdays, Mother\u2019s Day, Valentine\u2019s Day, and the festive season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Prestashop gift cards<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/store.webkul.com\/Prestashop-Gift-Card.html\">PrestaShop Gift Card module<\/a> allows store owners to create and sell gift cards as products within their store. Customers can purchase these gift cards and send them directly to recipients via email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The PrestaShop Gift Card module allows store owners to offer products and services as giftable options, automatically generating a unique voucher code that is delivered to the recipient via email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It also enables gift personalization and provides merchants with full control over voucher management and usage tracking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Store admins can configure and manage two types of gift flows:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Gift for others: <\/strong>Customer selects a product or service, fills in the recipient&#8217;s name, recipient&#8217;s email, sender&#8217;s name, and an optional personal message, and the system automatically sends emails to the recipient after order confirmation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Gift for self: <\/strong>Customers can purchase a service as a gift for themselves for future use, with a simplified form showing only an optional personal message field.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Estetica Mayka uses the PrestaShop Gift Card module to enable gift purchasing for their beauty and wellness services on their PrestaShop store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Challenges Faced by the Client<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The client encountered key challenges while enabling gifting on a service-based PrestaShop store, as the platform does not natively support purchasing on behalf of another recipient or capturing recipient-specific details. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since the offerings are in-person services, the standard shipping flow did not apply and required a custom fulfillment approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The client also needed strict voucher-to-recipient mapping to ensure secure redemption, along with a dedicated back-office process to validate vouchers and generate zero-value orders without affecting standard order management. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All enhancements had to integrate seamlessly while preserving the existing customer purchase flow and ensuring a non-intrusive implementation that caused no disruption to the checkout experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How our customized solution helped<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Webkul&#8217;s PrestaShop Gift Card module, with targeted customization, addressed each of these challenges precisely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We added a \u2018Buy as a Gift\u2019 button directly on eligible product and service pages, sitting alongside the standard cart option without replacing or interfering with it.
