In 1993, Jodell and Ezam Bayan started Capital Trophy Inc.<\/a> in Salem after being inspired by a newspaper article. Jodell led the way in building the company, supported by Ezam, who had a full-time job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Challenges Faced<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Capital Trophy Inc. faced several challenges with the website that hampered their customer experience. It also impacted the efficiency of the business and the website. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their checkout process required a few changes based on business requirements. These changes revolved around customizing products<\/a> and the checkout page of the website in a better way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Customizable Products<\/strong>: Initially, the product customization area on the website was fixed to text fields and word count. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    This makes it difficult for customers to add more text within the customizable area on the product page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Checkout Process Complexity<\/strong>: The checkout process needed a few changes based on the business needs. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      These changes were important for the payment methods and order confirmation processes on the website for the customer. Customers were confused by the payment options displayed during checkout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Quotation and Order Management<\/strong>: They were facing issues with the quotation system. The system automatically sends quotes to customers during the checkout process. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        This system does not match the workflow. They required further changes in the quotation before sending the final quotations to the customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Finding the Right Partner<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        Initially, Odoo didn\u2019t fully meet our requirements. Hence, we searched for a partner to help us to customize our Odoo. Among Odoo’s partner modules, we opted for Webkul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Odoo partner<\/a> Webkul stood out because they assigned a dedicated contact person who responded us promptly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        They work efficiently and on time. Webkul was very helpful during urgent situations and ready to help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Thanks to Webkul\u2019s expertise and support, we successfully tailored Odoo to fit our exact needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        1. Changes in Product Customization:<\/strong> <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          We developed an extra feature for our product customizable area on the website. This was developed and now customers can add more text to the customizable area on the product page. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Odoo Web to Print<\/a> allows your customers to customize products using text and images. This change allowed customers to provide detailed text. And related styles easily on the website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            To simplify the checkout process, we modified the final checkout page. We designed and developed the payment page as per the requirements of the business. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

            Additionally, we added an editable text box for customers to leave custom messages during the checkout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            Odoo Website Quote System<\/a> Allows your customer\u2019s to request quotes for the bulk purchase directly from the Odoo website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            1. Check out Workflow<\/strong>: <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

              We customized the Odoo backend workflow to prevent the automatic sending of quotations upon checkout. Instead, a quote will be generated and kept in “Quote Status”.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

              Upon checkout, customers now will receive an email confirming their order. This email will consist of details like order numbers and custom fields. This helps in reassuring them of our prompt follow-up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              For shipping via USPS, Odoo USPS Shipping Integration<\/a> module allows you to integrate your Odoo eCommerce website with the USPS shipping services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
