Guide for WooCommerce WCFM Marketplace Tax Manager

WooCommerce WCFM Marketplace Tax Manager allows the admin to specify the amount of order tax that will be credited to the admin or the vendor on each purchase.

The store admin can even set whether the tax will add to the orders by the admin or the vendors.

The plugin also helps to calculate and manage the tax in case there are products added from various sellers.

Moreover, It calculates the product tax based on the seller’s country. The vendors can delete, insert, export, and import the table as per their requirements.

The vendors can define the tax rates as standard, reduced, and zero rates for their products.

Note: You must have installed the WCFM Marketplace before using this plugin.

• The tax will credit to the vendor or the admin as per the settings made by the admin.
• If the admin selects the seller from settings then the seller taxes will be applied to that product.
• The vendors can specify tax rates for their products.
• The vendor can create a CSV file with Post/Zip Code-based locations and import it into WooCommerce Marketplace.
• The seller can delete the tax table row.
• The vendor can manage the tax amount smoothly.
• It helps the admin to manage the tax applicable to the orders.

The user will get a zip file that he has to upload in the “Add New” menu option in the WordPress admin panel.

For this, login to WordPress Admin Panel, and then Under the Dashboard, hover your mouse over the “Plugins” menu option which brings out a Sub-Menu and then select the “Add New” option.

After this, you will see an option on the top of your page that is “Upload Plugin”, Now clicks the option to upload the zip file.

By clicking on the “Upload Plugin” option, below that you will see a button “Choose File” Click on the button to browse for the zip file as per the snapshot below.

After browsing the file, click the “Install Now” button to install the plugin as per the snapshot.

Furthermore, Once the user installs the plugin, a message “Plugin installed successfully” displays, and an “Activate Plugin” is visible to activate the plugin.

In the end, the user needs to click on the “Activate Plugin” button to activate the plugin.

After successful installation, the admin will navigate through Tax Configuration to their dashboard to make the configuration.

Here, the admin will have to select whether the admin shipping or tax will be applicable or the seller tax will be applicable to the orders.

If the tax configurations are set for the seller then the vendor can manage the tax from their dashboard.

The seller will navigate through Dashboard>Tax Manager to manage the tax.

The seller can define the tax rates from the tax rate tabs; Standard rates, reduced rates, and zero rates as shown in the screenshot.

The vendor will define a new tax by clicking on the Insert row button. The table will contain the attributes for each tax rate such as;

country code, state code, post/zip code, city, rate, tax name, priority, compound, and shipping.

Insert Row

Country Code- Enter a two digit country code for the rate or leave blank (*) to apply to all countries.

State Code- Use two digit state code for the rate or leave blank (*) to apply to all states.

Postcode/zip– Here, the seller will enter the zip/postcode. The multiple values of a zip/postcode can be separated by a semi-colon (;).

City- The vendor can define multiple cities by separating them with a semi-colon. Also, leave blank (*) to apply to all cities.

Rate- The tax rate needs to define here in percentage.

Tax Name- After that, enter the tax name. Eg; VAT, GST, etc.

Priority- Select a priority for the tax rate. There will be only one matching rate per priority. To define numerous tax rates for a single location, each rate must have its own priority.

Compound- The user has to check this box if this rate is compound (applied on top of all prior taxes)

Shipping- Check this box if the tax rate is applied to the shipping also.

Now, the seller has to click on the Save Changes button.

Remove Selected Rows

The selected tax rows can also be removed with the help of this button.

Export CSV

The export CSV option allows sellers to export the CSV file to make changes if there is a need.

Import CSV

This option is useful if the seller has to add the locations in bulk for the tax rate. The vendors can add multiple tables in CSV.

Once the vendor clicks on the Import CSV option the below page will appear to select the CSV file.

Now, by clicking on the Import button the file will get imported and a success message will display as below.

Moreover, the sellers can search for the tax rate by its name in the search bar.

The tax rates set by the seller or the admin will display to the customers on the cart page as shown in the screenshots.

Likewise, the tax rates applied to the order will display in the order details in the orders section.
