INTRODUCTION

Replenish stock without worry with Odoo Website Stock Notify!

Customers get disappointed when they find the product they are looking for is out of stock. So, how can you decrease this number and make customers happy?

A stock replenishment option on the website is a good way for you to retain customers and make them visit again.

Odoo Website Stock Notify allows you to send mail notifications when a product is back in stock on your Odoo website. Customers need to provide their email address in the website stock notification form on the description page of a product that is out of stock.

Once the product is back in stock, the mail notifications can be sent manually to each user or can be configured to get sent out automatically using the scheduler. Moreover, you can set the cron scheduler from the Odoo backend according to the requirements.

FEATURES

Odoo Website Stock Notify allows you to notify customers about the availability of an out-of-stock product on the website.
Customers need to provide their email addresses in the ‘Stock Notification’ tab on the product page to receive email notifications when the product is back in stock.
You can send the email notification manually or automatically in Odoo.
Cron helps you send automatic email notifications on stock replenishment.
Configure the cron scheduler as per your requirements.
You can also set the standard mail template in the Odoo backend.

INSTALLATION

Once you purchase the App from Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.
Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- ‘website_stock_notifiy.’
Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.
Then, open the Apps menu and click on ‘Update Modules List.’
In the search bar, remove all the filters and search ‘website_stock_notifiy.’
You will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.

WORKFLOW

Now start the configuration of Odoo Website Stock Notify.

CONFIGURATION

1. Firstly, log in to the Odoo backend and navigate through ‘Website> Webkul Website Addons> Website Stock Notify> Configuration> Create.’

2. Now, enter the settings name. Under Email Template, you can choose and edit the mail template to set the desired one as the default for the mail notifications.

2.1. Email template that you can update as per need.

2.2. You can further configure the cron scheduler. For this, tick the checkbox next to ‘Automatic Email scheduler,’ and then click the ‘Save’ button. After that, click the ‘Email Stock Notify’ option.

3. On the new page, configure the cron scheduler.

Choose the ‘Model’ for which you wish to use this Cron setting (website stock notify in this case). Scheduler User ‘OdooBot’. Select the time gap between the cron cycle via ‘Execute Every’. Enable the ‘Active’ box to enable the cron.

‘Next Execution Date’ tells the date and time of the next cron cycle. ‘Number of Calls’ let you set the number of cron mail to send per cycle. Moreover, keep it -1, which represents an infinite number.

Once done, click the ‘Save’ button.

WEBSITE VIEW

4. Go to the Odoo website, and on the Shop page, open a product that is ‘Out of Stock.’ Moreover, the customer can provide his email address to receive a mail notification when the product is back in stock.

5. On submitting notify request, the customer will see the message in place of the box.

6. In the backend, move to ‘Website> Configuration> Website Stock Notify’ to view all the customers’ email addresses who opted for email notifications.
