User Guide For Odoo SMS Widget

SMS notifications allow you to communicate with your important clients, customers, and partners via text messages and keep in touch. It aids in the acquisition of loyal clients and the development of strong customer-seller connections.

Odoo SMS Widget module allows the user to send SMS to the customer registered mobile number from their profile by clicking on the phone widget. Here, the user can select an SMS gateway, message template and then send SMS to the required customers.

It saves the time of users, they just need to simply open the customer’s profile, draft the SMS and send it easily to that particular customer in just a single click.

The module installs all the necessary functions to send SMS from Odoo.

INSTALLATION

Once you purchase the App from Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.
Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- ‘sms_widget’.
Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.
Then, open on Apps menu and click on ‘Update Modules List’.
In the search bar, remove all the filters and search ‘sms_widget’.
You will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.

WORKFLOW

Firstly, login to the ‘odoo Instance’ and go to the ‘Sales’ module.
Here, go to the ‘Cutomers’ under the ‘Orders’ menu.
Open the Customer page and click on the Phone type widget shown next to the Phone number.
